Gardner in Monument Park, even as much as I like the guy that may be a stretch. Andujar, I hope that the Yankees can find a way to keep him. He was the hit man prior to DJ.
Gardner reminds me a bit of Hank Bauer. Blue collar player, no Hall of Famer but a sure fire gamer. One of the coolest "Gardner Moments" for me was the 9th inning 3 run bomb he hit against the Chicago Cubs . The Yankees went on to sweep the Cubs and we got a bit of faith restored in the team. Paul Molitor had a hatful of praise for Gardner during that '17 Wild Card game.
Trashman will show no loyalty when it comes to Clint Frazier & Miguel Andujar. BIG MISTAKE again by this proclaimed genius who would rather scrape bottoms of barrels for a player not worthy of pinstripes than an actual real talent. This guy has been putting one too many fingers in the dyke for too long.
During ST '19 I heard Mike Lowell state that Andujars defense would definitely improve given some assistance. Lowells opinion was that Andujar was a talent worth keeping. I hope the Yankees will find a way to keep him, imagine DJ, Urshela, GT, and Andujar in the same lineup. Given the outfield situation I'd say that Frazier should be retained as well. I'm wondering what will happen with the likes of Ellsbury, Bird and some of the other usual suspect bums who fail to show for work.
My wife and I were in NY (her first time) in 2008 and had tickets to the July 4th weekend series with the Bosox...we were 2 rows behind the Yanx' dugout and watched Gardner slap a single through the middle to give the Yanx his first walk off hit/RBI.

During this past WS I mostly score checked but did catch Reddick in an interview stating "we're the Houston Astros, we won 107 games yada, yada, yada. Hinch is a smug individual IMO so when Washington won I figure justice was served. When this sign stealing business first came up I thought it could be sour grapes. The deeper they dig the more they are finding and if it sticks well fuck you Houston and some heads should roll.
Matt Blake is the new Yankee pitching coach.......anybody know who this guy is? He is 34 years old & last worked with the Cleveland Indians’ pitching staff. Now, if the Yankee GM can get 5 able bodies to start on the Yankees!
Kudos to Phil Nevin; https://www.nj.com/yankees/2019/11/...at-up-astros-alex-cintron-over-bird-flip.html
Wild rumor per nj.com Reds trade Luis Castillo to Yankees for Deivi Garcia, Clint Frazier and J.A. Happ https://trib.al/DQ4JbM8
Garcia is a good young pitcher but I'm always concerned how NL pitchers translate to the AL...also, although I'm luke warm on Frazier and it would be nice to see Happ go, there's no way I would give Garcia as part of that package.
Looks like Cole is going to look to pitch out West. No surprise there to be honest. Strasburg becomes a must now.
The Yankees will sit down with Gerrit Cole and Stephen Strasburg over the Next 2 Days as per MLB Network.
