Saw that myself and very disappointed to hear that from the standpoint that I felt the Yankees should have give him a great 2 or three year deal. Once again Cashman takes out brain, plays with is and the is an end result. I wish di Di the best, sure he'll thrive in Phillly with Joe G.

I expect the Yankees to trade JA Happ soon and sign Gerritt Cole to a record breaking contract.

The Yankees get their man. Over one million per start. That's some contract.

    324 ÷ 9 = 36 Million per year.

A no trade clause and no deferred $$.
A toast- To good health, 9 years worth.

Here I was afraid the Halos were going to make Cole the 1st- 400 Million $$$ Man.

    Roll out the Red Carpet.

We may love the deal now but we'll be hating it in a few years.

    ....^^^^

You read minds 59 ??~!! :swami:

Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the richest of 'em all.

I wonder how much Didi was offered, or was he?
SS is GT's now, uncontested. In due time like a fine wine, I pray he's the next Ernie Banks .... :blessed:

Now it's crucial to re-sign Romine!!!

If Sanchez hits less than .270 in 2020, he too s/b trade bait. Only then will he live up to his hype, wearing anything but pinstripes, (more than likely).

I still believe the next Mo' may very well be Severino; perhaps, maybe. 1 thing is for sure- Chapman is incapable of being a clean Closer...

I heard that Betances will probably not be back as per The NY Daily News Sports.

Trade Chapman. Then break in Severino as the Closer with German as the Setup man.
Shades of Mo and Flash Gordon!

Unload Stanton, Happ, Cesspool, and maybe Lasagna, maybe.

Go get deGrom and let Betances shit himself in the South side of Chicago ...

Something like that. These kind of moves require BIG Balls. Will our GM be a Trashman or the Cash$$man??

Given what the big fish is going to get paid many of the Yankees Free Agent Guppies will have to be cut loose. In the case of Betances he picked the wrong year to miss as much time as he did. That should apply to Stanton as well. One guy whom I hope the Yankees will retain is Romine, overall he's more valuable to the team than Sanchez.

Arte Moreno gives Rendon $245 Millon; $35 Million a year!!!
    :roflmao:

Wtf, he can't pitch and he's not Trout, who's only making 35.45 Million $$$, after 2 yrs at $36.83 Million.

Cashman looks like a genius when compared to the dipshit Arte Moreno, as much as I despise saying that about our GM ...

I thought the same thing when I saw the Rendon story. He's a great player and a huge reason the Nats won. But paying him Trout money is crazy. Especially for a player who will be 30 years old.

The MLB "experts" were gushing over the Angels line up and how dangerous it will be. Still pushing Ohtani with Trout, Pujols, and Rendon added. Big money to Pretty Boy Wilson, Junkie Josh, Trout and Pujols has end resulted in nothing.
