I don't really see the Warren as all bad because the Yanx essentially took a flyer on him..I mean it's basically a minor league contract so it won't cost much at all and if his rehab goes well and he progresses well enough to be promoted to the Yanx' roster, probably as a reliever and his salary will still be relatively cheap. They've really come a long way with TJ surgery and who knows, Warren may return better than ever, a lot of pitchers have. So I see it as a "low risk-high reward" move.
....^^^^ I do hope so! At one time he looked like he was on the cusp of looking like a possible legitimate Starter; and a capable reliever... and yep- Some do indeed come back better than ever after TJ. I gotta feeling he will be capable and we will see plenty of him in 2021.
Good article; https://www.brewcrewball.com/2019/12/20/21030354/milwaukee-brewers-josh-hader-new-york-yankees-trade =============================================== Future Yank..."The Martian" This kid is only 16 ================================================== Deivi Garcia;
good stuff 59, as always! I hope Florial can stay healthy and perhaps we might see him in the Bronx, maybe. If so, then Frazier becomes very expendable much more-so ... https://empiresportsmedia.com/new-y...l-finally-make-it-to-the-big-leagues-in-2020/
PS- I see "the martian" being compared to Mantle and Trout. Hopefully, Garcia will be the next Dominican super pitcher eg., Pedro Martinez or Juan Marichal, jose rijo. As long as he's not the next fernando rodney and if he doesn't get traded for Hader. Garcia's 15.1 K/9 in Trenton was incredible, very impressive... and Hader's 16.4 K/9 even more impressive. https://www.sny.tv/yankees/news/sco...has-been-compared-to-pedro-martinez/308270022
^^^Yeah, the Yanx are so freaking deep in the big league roster as well as the farm...hoping Cashman can parlay our trade chips into more improvements where we need them. I'd be happy with either Hader or Lindor, moreso Lindor because he's an everyday player. Lindor is well above average on defense and is MUCH better than Torres at SS and he a switch hitter, something Yanx sorely need which is more LHed hitters especially when facing RHed pitching. If Stanton will wave his NTC maybe we can persuade another team to take him off our hands by offering a package that includes the Yanx eating say $5-10 Mil of his salary and throw in one of our youngsters to sweeten the deal. For that matter, I would not be heart broken if they also dealt Sanchez because I've lost all confidence in him ever being the player we all hoped he would be...sorry, but I'm just tired of his "HR or bust" hitting approach and I'm also sick of his lackadaisical attitude on defense.
Yankees traded Chance Adams, a potential pitching prospect, to the KC Royals for......wait for it...... a perennial minor league infielder, Christian Pérez. Adams is proof that Yankee organization cannot develop future pitchers.
^^^^^Betances signs for 10.5 mil & one year contract. Wonder what Trashman has up his “disloyal” sleeves!!!!!!!.....?
Betances is staying close to home. The Mutts showing signs of desperation since signing Cano then Stroman. Betances gets a 3 Million $$ raise following a year which he spent on the DL/IL. Desperation at its worst... The Mutts will forever play 2nd Fiddle and out of tune.
starting to doubt Florial is ever getting here. Always hurt and has been in the organization 5 years and still can’t reach double A. I think the kid they just drafted Dominguez will be the CF IN 3 years
Media predictions for the 2020s in AL East that the Blue Jays will be the Yankees biggest competition. Both teams have young core players ready to move forward. Should be fun.
Biggio Bichette Vlad Jr. All 3, have holes in their offense or defense tho'. Biggio is the only 1 of the 3 who's of note on D. Vlad Jr and Bichette are defensive liabilities at best. Biggio needs to improve his offense, although his Base-on-balls ratio and OBP% isn't bad. I read this on MLB.com of the 3- They will offer an interesting case study on player development to follow over the next few seasons, -- all with different styles and pedigrees -- had varying degrees of success in the Major Leagues as rookies, but now comes the challenging part. Pitchers will be better prepared for them this time around, and the endless game of back-and-forth adjustments begins. It wouldn’t be surprising to see one regress, one stays the same and the other improve. But who will it be? If that's the case (noted in blue font), then, they're in trouble. All 3 have to improve. The latter two, if they stay the same, or, don't improve, then the Jays are in trouble. Bichette imo, will have a better bat than Vlad Jr. in the long run. I'm no fan of Vlad. His fldg. pctg. was horrible, 2nd most Errors by a 3rd bagger. He's too cocky and too much fuss has been made of him overall than the other 2, due to his HR's. Tho' he only hit The All-Star game appearance blew his ego/and persona up bigger than his head. His hairdo's suck even for a clown. Seems Teams these days are trying to emulate the Yanx model of- pound your way to and thru the playoffs predominatly with offense, long balls, play ok defense, with sub-par Pitching that has to overachieve. Fortunately, if the Yanx Pitching staff stays healthy, overall they should be elite, tho' the bullpen could use an overhaul or 2. No one seems to really know who the Blue Jays Pitching Staff will consist of. They do have one kid in the Minors who we might see, and might be of note, might; Nate Pearson.
Will GT's defense be a liability for the Yanx at Short Stop?? https://empiresportsmedia.com/new-y...ber-torres-has-two-glaring-problems-for-2020/
