Deividas Sirvydis just declared. 6’8 playmaker. Good shooter. Solid in the pick and roll. Underrated defensively. Only 18. ESPN ranks him 48th but I’d take him with a late first. I think he will play early in his career.
Yovel Zoosman, the Israeli player I've been telling you about, enrolled to the draft and is currently late 2nd round according to Givony. This player has top 15 talent at least, he's a point forward, good at almost everything, very team oriented, extremely high basketball IQ. A much better player than Omri Casspi. Gonna make whoever picks him up very happy
Been scanning the mocks every couple of days just to see who is being linked with the Blazers or who might be available in the mid-20s if we don't trade the pick. I've been focused on Brandon Clarke and Matisse Thybulle, for the most part, but two mocks in the last couple of days have the Blazers taking Talen Horton-Tucker from Iowa State. Horton-Tucker would be a very interesting pick. He needs to reshape his body a bit, but he looks like he has a very natural feel for the game in a lot of different areas. Very smooth laterally. And still only 18. He could fill all the roles Evan Turner fills for the Blazers but has the upside of much better shooting range. Wouldn't at all mind seeing him land in Portland.
Bump! Something to keep in mind... Star players for each team in the 2019 ECF/WCF: *Dame/CJ *Curry *Kawhi Aside from Giannis, an obscure-ish Euro prospect at the time, are all mid-major players.
Anyone here thinks that the NBA will give the Knicks the number 1 pick? I still think this lottery is rigged.
There’s only a few players I’d want us to draft, I much rather trade the pick to make room to win now. Jalen McDaniels Bol Bol Louis King Admiral Schofield
I've been stuck on Matisse Thybulle for awhile now. A defensive specialist that is on a Gary Payton level. I could see him being out of reach by draft day though.
Chuma Okeke, Talen Horton-Tucker or Grant Williams. Thybulle is interesting, but not sure he'll be good enough offensively. Not a great shooter, ball handler or decision maker. I'd be able to look past that more if he was bigger and stronger, but right now I see him more as a 1/2 defender that doesn't have the size to check the best wing, but can chase shooters and disrupt at the point of attack. Still valuable, but makes him an awkward fit for us. Would look/fit better on a team with a big initiator.
Top 3 teams I want to see tonight: Suns, Cavs and Knicks (just want to see their fans reactions). Suns get Williamson then will see if Cavs take Morant then trade Sexton
