Then there is the cost difference between the self insured employers and the those that buy insurance for employees. The cost per employee is nearly double for the latter that just can't go that route. Do they still pay the whopping difference in the new tax? She mentions nothing on this question.
But then again, we have these employers that do not buy health insurance for their employees. Do they now get whacked with a New Tax? Shit! That may put them out of business. She said nothing about this question.
Yes, a huge new tax that, on average, doesn't cost any more than what the employers already pay. Sounds pretty scary all right. You are right that the employers give up some control. On the plus side, they can wash their hands of the whole healthcare thing - it's no longer their problem. Tax applies to temps as well as permanent employees. This actually reduces the motivation for companies to hire temps in place of permanent workers. barfo
I'm guessing that the bigger employers will end up paying slightly more, the smaller employers slightly less. But that's just my guess how it would work out. barfo
Yes, employers who don't currently provide health insurance to their employees will find themselves paying more. No more free riders. At least if I were king that's what I'd implement. barfo
Good that you are not king. The small guys paying more, like the small business, local stores, farmers. Very un democrat like. But you are not important. I will love watching Harris explain this snake. I don't think she has a fucking clue what she is about the open.
It's actually pretty democrat-like to worry about the workers more than the business owners. But, if you like, we can add to the so-far imaginary plan a small-business exemption of some sort, basically make the big businesses subsidize the small ones. barfo
Hey Man, I want to hear Kamla explain it. That will be fun. No fucking way to I ever want to see her try to run it though.
Well I listen to her today, speaking glowingly about her plan. No substanse though, not one quest I ask the TV was answered even as you did.
That's not trouble. Here's trouble - https://www.theguardian.com/us-news...advisers-have-been-convicted-and-who-are-they
Yeah well, the pay out rate that Medicare uses today, screws everyone in the system. Damn hard to see how more of that is popular with an average man. Only a democrat I guess. It is not cheap either, the wife and I were paying over 4500 a year for Medicare premiums and supplemental insurance. Way higher that at for healthcare than at any of the time I worked. I gave it up as not worth it, when I couldn't find another doctor in my area that would take a new medicare patient after the doctor I had retired with the implementation of Obama care. I don't think the lady or the people she is talking to, have a clue what the hell they are talking about. Why does anyone want to have coverage that only pays a doctor enough that he/she considers you a charity case?
I just heard on CNN that Hillary hasn't counted out running again, because she feels she has loyal followers and she would get the minority vote a win the nomination. The Clinton Machine is being re-tooled!
Yes, why would anyone want to keep healthcare costs down? It's American to pay as much as possible! Doctors need Lamborghinis, after all. How much of the $4500 was Medicare and how much was the private insurance? barfo
Not excited at all, its just that many think she is washed up and won't run. Why is that? She's always felt it's her rightful reign. I think you underestimate her desire and ability to lobby support. Time will tell...
Right now it's about $3120 a year for two people on Medicare. The rest was supplemental insurance. Medicare will leave you holding the bag if you need to go into the hospital for a couple days, so you need some insurance anyway. I just dropped the damn thing when I lost the retirement supplemental package which was good any where world wide. Ha! What will people think of Kamala's plan when they find out, she is purposing to relieve the employers that now provide healthcare coverage from the burden, and then they have to start paying the Medicare tab???? That will be an awakening!
