I like the idea of the Melo back a lot more than I did before free agency. We got our defensive issues/depth sorted out at the four. You don’t HAVE to play Melo anymore. But he still has his uses and showed in the bubble he can still play minutes at the three, increasing his versatility.
I thought he was from Louisiana. I remember in college his rebounding numbers at La Tech were insane and he was getting lots of comparisons to Karl Malone who went to the same school.
The fact it took this long to re-sign shows there was no market for him. He'll play 15 minutes a night off the bench.

I won’t be surprised if we make a deal at some point. But this current roster has a broad and diverse set of players that should give Stotts a lot of flexibility in his game planning. My question is whether or not Stotts can recognize and take advantage.
