Massive Saharan Dust Cloud to impact the United States next week Ahh yes, 2020... The year of apocalyptic headlines! Although, there is some good news that may come out of this weather phenomenon. A look at satellite today shows a large cloud of dust streaming off the west coast of Africa from the Sahara Desert. It can be a little hard to pick out the dust on grayscale, but if you adjust for true colors, it's easy to see just how widespread this wall of dust actually is! Our dust tracker is able to see where that dust is going to go over the next week. Below you can see where the dust progresses across the Atlantic Ocean between now and this time next week. https://abc17news.com/news/2020/06/...lCJA2aUf1tmmVVTYMjONf9Z65ZdtYH-X-OujidgxXyyh0
Science Deserts are very arid places With very little condensation the sand/dirt remains loose High pressure systems equal a higher velocity of wind The heavy wind picks up the loose sand/dirt and carries it aloft into the atmosphere where it accumulates into a large cloud. The cloud is carried by wind currents Apocalypse
Or maybe an Alien Robot Army that causes an all out nuclear war. A consequence of which is massive aftershock earthquakes. While we are busy trying to survive that, we don't see the giant Texas sized meteor/asteroid coming to hit us.
Two 7.4 magnitudes earthquakes within a week, one in New Zealand on the 18th and one today in Mexico. Hope there aren't any tsunamis from today's.
