Let's not turn this into a NeO bashing thread at least til after the draft then whatever -- bash til your heart's content but i have a little faith he will do something maybe not tonight cause IF he does little to nothing and Dame asks out

    plain and simple ....

He will be the MOST hated man in Oregon and my advice IF this were to happen get into witness relocation cause fans with pitchforks and other crap will prolly march towards the Blazer offices.

You gotta respect the Lakers' management for swinging big.

I have no idea why Kendrick Perkins is featured so often on ESPN, he's got horrible takes.

Super Stars have been traded before. I remember Lews deal going down to get him to Lakers. Players are simply assets like preferred stock and there is a shelve life.

I actually don't want it to be Olshey bashing time until we know if we re-sign Norm or let him walk. If Norm walks we will be worse next season than we were this season and that will be unacceptable. While I'd love to get a big time forward for a CJ package now, that can happen at any time.

Why can't poor Rubio ever go to a GOOD team? Has he EVER been in the playoffs? Jesus.

They're not done trading, that's for sure.

"Look, in this market we only have access to two of the three tools teams have to improve their roster."

"What? You're telling me we don't make big trades? Next, you're going to tell me our draft picks never panned out. Good one Jason!"

Hoopguru -- you have a point but Dame is BELOVED by the fan base and while most might understand WHY he would want out IF NeO sits on his hands and does nothing that will be a huge slap in the face NOT only to Dame but to the fans so that is why i made that statement.

I will love Dame no matter where he is but it would be a shame / crime after he has stated he wants to RETIRE a Blazer for him to get traded cause of the GM and his lack of OR bad moves that would drive him away BUT back to the Topic ---

I think NeO will buy a 2nd round pick in the 35 to 40 range

76ers offered Simmons to GSW for Wiggins, Wiseman, 7th, 14th, and two future 1sts

    GSW said no

That's all that Morey is getting right now for these ridiculous offers... just getting turned down without negotiation because the offer is so far off of what these teams would give. I continue to believe his serious negotiations are happening and staying under the radar and these insane offers are both to try to prove he's serious about the high price for Simmons and shots in the dark. Eventually a deal that makes sense will get made... maybe not today but soon.

Neil is probably in his office waiting for some cheap players also known as bread crumbs or in basketball term… Scrubs

What possible use would the Lakers have for Westbrook? I've seen multiple Laker fans assert that Damian Lillard will be the Lakers new point guard for next season.

If the Wizards pull this off, they will have been able to turn Wall into Kuzma, KCP and Harrell all on team friendly movable deals that can be dealt for more picks/items later. All while recouping the initial first they used to turn Wall into WB.

Have some foresight and take some notes Neil. A good player will be able to recoup some of the value you used to get him even if the initial investment is high.

One plus of a Westbrook trade: he instantly becomes that totally hate-able guy that the Lakers have historically had on their roster to help fuel opposing fans' hatred for all things piss and purple.
