    yeah, I agree

you can kind of, a little, justify Dame on the floor because he's hard to post up and if there is a transition opportunity he makes good decisions. But it should have been somebody like Little defending O'Neal rather than Ant. You can see him fall asleep on where O'Neal was then fail to box out.

hard to understand why, but quite a few stats make Nas out to be our worst defender this season.

This is the kinda situation where GP2 should help us.

Another shocking thing is how good Shaedon already is for us.

    - nurk has always had problems with consistency (some of it due to his head, some of it due to injuries, as he misses time and then needs time to get in rhythm)

    - nurk free throws are 80% this season (is that bad for a center)

    - leg break has damaged him permanently (speed), thats not something he can improve and hes lucky to even play in the nba after that, leg breaks and other injuries have ruined many careers

but lets not talk like hes unplayable (like demarcus cousins)

ps of course, first it was kanter, then it was whiteside and now its eubanks... cant wait to see who will be the next one thats better than nurk

whiteside was and eubanks is on minimum contract, kanter is not even in the league (some of it due to his off court stuff, but he was also on a minimum contract or little more than that) and nurk got $70 mil

I would have liked to seen Nas or Trendon in on that last defensive play over Ant just for the rebounding. It came down to Dame and Ant not being able to prevent O'neale from getting that put back. If Nas or Trendon are there instead of Ant there is a better chance of him getting the board or at least preventing the put back.

Was Billups asked why Simons was in the game on the last defensive possession?

...time to start posting the the post-game interviews! I'd also like to know why Sharpe only played 21mins and barely had a chance to do anything in the 2nd half :dunno:

chauncey talked about it postgame. sounds like Shaedon doesn't exactly know where to be/what to do on certain plays, and it's affecting the other 4 guys on the team. Says his timing is off because he doesn't know the plays from all positions yet which will help him. As far as the 2nd half, he said Nets made an adjustment on him but Sharpe didn't counter.

Nobody can buy a bucket? Let's keep our only guy who is actually shooting well on the bench!

I'm glad I didn't watch this game lol. Missed both this and the Grizzlies game and we lost both so at least I'm missing the right ones....

Yeah..... that's the missing component and I don't have an opinion yet. He's a quiet guy. The problem is that you can have all the talent in the world, but it's the BBIQ that really separates that good from the great. MJ and Kobe and LeBron are all students of the game. They can break down plays and explain exactly what's happening. Listening to Kobe or LeBron talk about the game is a masterclass on basketball IQ.

Meanwhile, a guy like Travis Outlaw had a lot of raw talent (obviously nowhere near as good as Sharpe), but he had a 10c brain. So did Thomas Robinson. Sometimes being good just isn't enough. I'm really hoping that Sharpe is a student of the game, but he's so quiet and reserved that it's hard to tell just from the short interviews that he has done. Jabari on the other hand is clearly a student of the game. I love listening to that kid talk.

I'm not too upset about losing the to Nets. Sure, we could have had that game and we probably should have. At least they are an EC team. This game against the Jazz is more important in the standings. It would be nice to get a win against them before they start the M4 Sherman up and lose to everyone. I'm ready to move on.

Yeah, we have had this discussion before about who should be on the floor with less than 10 seconds left.
Both Dame and Ant were covering forwards and both ended up under the basket. GP2 would have helped but we needed more forwards out there in that situation. Chauncey needs to learn from it.

Yeah as CB said...... he is still learning. I don't think a lack of BBIQ will be an issue with this guy. He just needs more experience on the floor. He is still only 19 with no college experience. I think CB is doing a good job of bringing him along.

Yeah..... I'm just saying I don't really have an opinion formulated yet on whether the guy is......... slow? I don't think he is, but he's just so quiet and reserved.

I'm just saying that rookie mistakes are normal, especially for a kid his age, but some players never really grow out of those rookie mistakes.

I watched the last 3 quarters of this game and even tho the team lost, I enjoyed it. This team is fun to watch even when they lose, because they play hard.
