Very important game here. Warriors are not the same team without Curry, Green and Wiggins though they did beat the T-Wolves yesterday.

@Chris Craig the BS is pretty funny.

Warriors are tough at home, as tough as any. POR has to bring it. Need more from Grant, Nas, and Reddish. Looking forward to Thybulle on Klay etc. The ultimate test for a defender!

Golden State may be down, but they're not the dumpster fire that the Rockets are.
The Rockets are in last place with only 12 wins this season.
Golden State has the same home record as the Boston Celtics, 24-7. Yikes!
What a difference from the Rockets.

Who knows what'll happen with Chauncey coaching. Pretty easy to get a switch and suddenly Eubanks is guarding him.

What is Nurks status? Is he close at all to returning?

Our defense has dropped 13 spots since he got hurt.

I have a hard time believing the Blazers ranked 14th in defense on Feb. 1

Huh. I saw us at 17. Thought we were 30th now. Apologies.

Still... The dropoff has been stark

it hasn't been good, true. I think losing Winslow has been a factor and playing 6 of the 10 without Hart (and Payton) has also impacted the defense. Blazers played some pretty good offenses and hot teams in that 10 game stretch as well. It's not all Nurkic

While i agree to a point. No question Nurkic would help. A really engaged Nurkic would help a whole bunch.

well, a "really engaged" Nurkic is kind of like a snow leopard....kind of rare to see

besides that, a lot of 'really engaged' bigs would help quite a bit, not just Nurkic. Whiteside for instance even though he was despised by some. Mason Plumlee would be a big help; guys like Przybilla; Vanderbilt; Capela; Zubac; Poeltl; Lopez

    big men anchor a defense

Minnesota freaking sucks right now. It's like they're trying to tank, but they don't have a pick. Maybe KAT will come back and change things? It sounds like he's already done being a Timberwolf.

The one that has me wondering is Zion? He has been out for a long time on this Hamstring injury.
