there are still some nuances of managing game flow that he needs to pick up. this where i was hoping brooks as his asst would help-- clearly hasn't.

but the big picture stuff chauncey has down perfect.

We got a lot of those close calls in the Denver game. Certainly helps.

Aldridge could also go 1-11 in the first half and make up for it in the 2nd half.

The biggest worry about the game is JOSH HART. He's not even Draymond Green. Green attacks the hoops when there's a lane.

Why do you think Billups didn't want him out there?

2 times last night Ja drove past Ant and he was grabbed with no whistle blown. Calls usually even themselves out.

In your calculations, did you consider the blown calls for the other team, or just your Blazers?

I don't feel they did tonight. In the Denver game the refs were terrible both way. Maybe even a bit in our favor. In this one in addition to all the obvious shit I think we got hacked a ton of times on offense with no calls.
Obviously that's not the only reason we lost but we shouldn't have to be play a perfect game to compensate for BS reffering. It's just so tiring to watch this shit. Even when it's bad both way it just takes so much away from the enjoyment of the game because it just feels like the refs have so much power over the outcome

I think it's obvious that he assumed the vet would be more likely to shake off a rough game and perform in the 4th than the rookie would. However, I think development of the rookie (for whom "the sky is not the limit") should take precedence over chasing early-season wins.

it looked to me like that was Billups going with Keon because Keon was doing all kinds of things well. He was distributing & rebounding as well as playing decent defense

maybe Payton will change my mind with how he performs but right now I'd much rather see Ant, Hart, Sharpe, & Keon get SG/wing minutes before Payton. Little is in the equation too

No clear front runner on any given night? Kind of weird?

Multiple ways to look at that? The Kid will get his development. The wins however help the team build chemistry and confidence. Early season wins mean just as much as late season wins. Is Billups coaching a player or a team?

Exactly. Brooks was glued to Ant, bumping and grabbing him all night. Plus, they were doubling Ant up top on every possession and clogging up the offense. I don't get why they were picking on Ant in this thread and not Grant. Grant sucked in this game. I've never seen a guy get so many travels and so many shots blocked in one night.

There were multiple obvious bad calls he should have challenged. What's the point of saving them until the final minutes when there is no guarantee you'll even get another opportunity?

I understand that there are multiple ways to look at that. I'm not saying my way is the only way...just my preference.

Try telling that to Coach Billups that the development of a 19 yer old is more important than Ws bro. That won't go over well I promise you FAMS.

I was saying I wanted Sharpe in place of Hart, alongside Keon.
