By my count, that only leaves Sarr with an active contract. Iwundu, Cacok, Miller and Rhoden have all been released.

In 4 pre-season games, Sarr has averaged:
    - Minutes: 11.0
    - Points: 4.0
    - FG: 55.6% (33.3% 3pt)
    - Reb: 2.8
    - Blk: 1.0

I liked what I saw from him in his limited minutes. Solid big with some good hustle. I think the Blazers should give him a 2-way contract.

Sarr converted to a two-way as you predicted. Makes sense.

Fitting that they announced he is injured right after that...

They must really liked what they saw from him in practice to give him the two-way despite being injured

I thought getting the two way from the Blazers injured him?

Maybe just announcing it. For all we know, they might have signed someone else who is killing it in practice to the available roster spot, but since they did not announce it yet, he is not injured, yet.

They can sign me to a contract. I just prefer we keep it secret. Maybe when they announce it 5G takes over and you immediately overheat causing some injury?

Thought Rhoden would get the other two way.

Do the Blazers have to fill the 15th spot or can they leave it open? If they can leave it open I expect Jody to do that and pocket any salary or tax savings.

    They can leave it open.

I don't think anyone in the organization really believes the Blazers are a contender this year, so why face increased tax costs? If it were up to me, I'd fill that last 2-way contract with a young player to develop, and leave that 15th roster spot open.

Leaving that roster spot open theoretically gives us more flexibility at the trade deadline too, yeah? Allow us to absorb an additional contract for matching purposes.

We could probably pick up Mo Harkless for cheap at this point.

I probably agree with you. But, I wouldn't hate him as a backup 3/4.

I think the Blazers are looking at who is going to be waived around the League and make their decision on the final roster spot by Monday. I think the Blazers would seriously like to add a Jae Crowder if possible.

Crowder would be a perfect addition.

Because he's the same size as all our other would-be SF's?

Cousins or D-Howard for minimum anyone?

I would take a flyer on either. Cousins seems like he had matured and is desperate to get back to the NBA so he will behave. He played well last season with the minute that he had.

Howard can just be a back up plan incase Nurk goes down at some point in the season (which is likely). I would probably start him if my choices are between T-Wat, Drewbank and Howard.
