Scoot just had a bad first quarter really guys...

and he got blocked and then tried to make up for it n he turned the ball over (iirc) so he panicked a bit...

salvaged the performance in this 4th q, which was a very good quarter, by far the best they played all game(though obviously it was after the competitive portion of the game had passed)

thought we really almost had something going in the 2nd and 3rd q's but both runs were slowed down by 3+ minute scoreless stretches..

1st quarter was comically bad, pretty much couldnt have scripted it worse..

Meh. The result was to be expected. But there's some things that are annoying.... and I think a lot of them have to do with our coach.

Yes, it matters. The goal is to get better, not worse, right?

It's one thing to dig a hole for a foundation. It's another thing to create a sinkhole you can't get out of.

I have a lot of faith in scoot. The Clippers are just a tough matchup with all kinds of length that they have, it won't be everynight he has to see that. But Billups is going to ruin him and Sharpe if he constantly coaches like a moron thinking they should just go in the corner and not have the ball

Well the offense was bad, kind of expected that, but man was the defense really bad. I don't know I have ever seen a team take as many wide open shots as the Clips took tonight. Hopefully with a few games they will figure out rotations and such on defense.

These guys collectively have hardly played with each other. I’m going to reserve judgement on anything until after 15 games. Then I’ll evaluate.

Has a #3 pick ever had a worse NBA debut than Scoot Henderson just had?

Making the bar lower just so you can claim improvement, isn't improvement.

    We're plenty bad now.

I think it’s time for Bud to replace Chauncey. Can Bud coach a young team?

We really need to trade Grant, Ant and Brogdon. Their talent is wasted on this team and/or they are bad fits (Simons when we have Sharpe to play SG). We need Scoot and Sharpe, Camara and Ayton to get lots of minutes and lots of touches. Grant is absolutely horrible for the team, a turnover and non-rebound machine who takes shots/touches away from Scoot and Sharpe.

I liked what I saw from Timelord. Ayton wasn't as bad as people say, he had 3 steals, a block and 12 board in 20 minutes. Mostly our offense is basically non-existent and so a big man just isn't going to get touches. Scoot finally looked good once he was able to *gasp* play point guard. Sharpe looked good, but needed more touches. We really need to make those trades, but they are probably all happening in January/February range.

Chauncey chucks up another loss. He's had time to get these guys playing better, He's on the hot seat in mu view.

It pisses me off that we don’t have more designed plays, especially plays designed to get Shae moving downhill towards the hoop. I think when he’s driving he’s incredibly effective both scoring and setting up his teammates.
