We need to fire billups beofore he does too much damage to scoot and sharpes development.

As we should've expected given his resume when he was hired.

Ayton doesnt even need a system... just throw him the ball and get the heck out of the way, hes got plenty of moves, the hookshot, the jumpshot..

thats why tonights game is certainly an aberration when it comes to the 4FGA's.. its likely that'll be his season low FGA's, especially for him to have 4FGA's in a loss is peculiar when u look back at his gamelogs from last season when he had just a few fga's they'd be in blowout wins or when he just played 8 mintues or something..

but I mean didnt Zubac destoy scoot in that 1st q?Its all Billups fault? Billups is so incompetent he served Zubac up with some softballs? cuz that seems disingenuous if u ask me.. it seemed to me like Zubac fought hard n just was better tonight, n deserves credit.. they sure were more prepared, as ud expect an mvp winning vet point guard like russ, to be vs a rookie starter in his debut..

we need to fire billups cuz he didnt have his rookie starting pg prepared to outduel the former mvp in game 1?

cuz yall seem to be trying to squeeze blood from a stone!!!

Quick asked Billups what his next move with Scoot is:

Billups said "we'll watch it and talk about it... I want to see what he's seen. It might be different than what I've seen... It'll be like sometimes this year. Sometimes I gotta step back and let it happen... I remember my rookie game when I had 9 turnovers. Some of it is going me stepping back... it'll be touch and go.

I thought he was nervous. I think the main thing that happens is you want to play good so bad and that can kinda over-take you."

A good coach wouldn't play Ayton with 4 fouls in the first half...he'd be sitting with 2 or 3 and saving them for the end game. Chauncey rode the brickfest...Ayton got 2 shots in the first half I think. Ant got hot and then was benched when we needed a run. I 'm not impressed with Billups as a head coach..he's watching games just like we are in my view.

If we win 15 games, it's going to be hard to convince me there has been worthy development.

It was the same during preseason. I was hoping to see a different Ayton tonight. Not sure we are going to see that 20+ version much this season.

I really do get what you're saying I just don't think the front office or ownership is going to put a guy in the hot seat during this rebuild. I wouldn't be mad if they did, I just think it's unlikely.

Ayton needs to stay out of foul trouble. He shouldn't be putting his coach/team in that position.

28 minutes for a Sharpe is an unacceptable failure for Billups.

thats what i saw... clearly he got blocked n tried to make up for it n then turned the ball over... n he's not trying to 'show off' but he is sorta, n its a confidence bruiser.. anytime u turn the ball over as a starting pg its a confidence bruiser..

but i agree he was nervous in that 1st q.. n zubac closed the space on him... it happens... he was fine in the 4th! just a hiccup!

And more importantly, if they did, why should we believe they'll be able to identify and obtain a significantly better coach?

We need to have a quality upgrade ready first.

Blazer energy picked up in cleanup time. 38 point 4th quarter after the Clippers benched their starters. Get those buckets! Feisty scrambles, competitive action.
