    A part of me wonders how open Dame would have been to mentoring Scoot to this capacity.

    Dame also had a village raising him. From Vanterpool to Earl Watson and Mo Williams, he repeatedly has thanked them.

    Hopefully, the Chauncey/Malcolm duo can suffice for Scoot.

    just fyi,
    I highlight a couple of words, ctrl-A to select all, ctrl-C to copy.
    Open wordpad (or whatever), ctrl-V for paste.
    Delete a bunch of crap at the beginning, ditto for the end.

    I was ready from the time I wanted to trade Dame and start a rebuild a couple seasons ago, totally in for the duration (years) which will not be short

    This is exactly why we kept Brogdon....and why I hope we keep him indefinitely. A mature veteran voice who keeps things in perspective and is supportive of his teammates, especially the young ones. Hopefully Dame reads the article.........

    Detroit & Orlando haven’t hit in the draft til very recently. I compare us to Sea/OKC when they got KD, RW, and Harden in successive drafts and went to the Finals two seasons later.

    I’m honestly shocked that MB has embraced this role so completely. It’s refreshing. I know Dame did this with Simons but Brogdon is 30 and could be playing on a playoff team. He could just be biding his time but he clearly is not. That’s really cool.

    Cronin has already proven (McCollum, Hart, Nurkic, Holliday, et al) that he will treat a player right if the respect is mutual. Whether Brogdon stays or goes in the long run, being/acting professional is in his best interests. The man ain't stupid....

    I hope you’re wrong because these guys need a guy just like that for the next 2-3 years. Maybe he sees that they truly are something special and he wants to be a part of it?

    Yeah it's interesting and great if true, only reason I add a qualifier is that there we rumors he was not very willing to do that at other teams he was on. Loe it if he has embraced that!
