    4 turnovers, 0 assists. Ant's shooting looked great. His passes were all to random people who were not Blazers.

    Ah... I see Jerami Grant is going to be the preferred Whipping Post this year. Never mind he's doing what Lillard decided he didn't want to do.

    Thing is, we only wanted him to do it if Lillard was doing so as well. With Lillard doing what he did, we'd rather Grant would do what he does elsewhere.

    So this team doesn't want a solid defensive wing with length that can score and create his own shot? A veteran player that brings leadership and stability with no drama? A player on a decent contract that will undoubtedly help space the floor and give both Scoot and Ayton room to work with a place to kick the ball as well as Simons on the other side of the floor?
    How can he be okay with a ball dominant PG that plays poor defense like Lillard but not okay with a facilitator that it is said plays decent defense like Scoot? Grant has shown he is fine as a second or third option.

    With Dame leading the team, Grant understands unequivocally that he is no more than second banana. As the elder-statesman of the current squad (recent acquisition Brogdon excluded), there is no guarantee that he is satisfied with not being the first option. There is also an unwritten obligation to ensure that our highest-paid player be featured in a significant percentage of our offense, even though as a rebuilding season, we are better off focusing primarily on developing our young pieces.

    As to Grant bringing leadership and stability with no drama...that remains to be seen, but I'm doubtful.

    Grant being our main option isn’t a bad thing; if he sucks at it we lose games, and the young players should learn how to play with someone else before becoming first offensive option anyway.

    even Dame had to play second banana to LaMarcus at first.

    there’s nothing at all puzzling about fans wanting to see the new team and being pissed when it’s an old-school ‘radio-only’ date, precedent or no.

    I know it's just 1 game, but Sharpe didn't seem Sharpe, and Simons kinda looked like he doesn't really belong with the system. Not sure Grant does either.
