Ya I agree he seems like a 3rd Center type we bring in while we get a older Vet big who might be kind of limited by minutes and need someone to fill in for 5 to 10 per game at times and of course a gamble that might pay off. Also imagine him getting fed by Scoot that could be fun too but I guess we wait and see if anything comes from this rumor.

    You are correct.
Jones is restricted this season. Next summer he'd be UFA.

Second bullet point says 3 of fewer seasons are restricted FA. This applies to Jones.

I believe the new CBA won't impact this as RFA/UFA is a condition of the contract when signed (thus the prior CBA in effect when Herb signed his deal).

Think he's going for more than MLE?

I guess maybe it'll full MLE and that's why we dumped Watford.

Strus would be another stupid move. Allergic to signing anyone taller than 6'9.

Did you see how much Max thinks he is worth -- 16m -- like WTF is going on in the NBA but prolly cause not many solid players on the market this off season so they want more. It's no wonder the Blazers are looking at other options like Hall over sea's if slightly above average players want that type of money then Cronin can tell them to go pound sand.

Strus played SF his whole time in Miami and never got played off the floor even in the finals.

Our rebounding would be anemic though.

max struss 3-point shooting is inconsistent (if he was consistent, youd like to have him, but hes not)

37.1% in three seasons on 6 attempts per game

Seen a lot of rumors surrounding the Blazers and Derozan in trades. I’m not sure I buy most of them, but the common theme is Derozan and Draymond in Portland and Simons/Sharpe traded.

Don’t you take Dames word for it? If you sit and have a meeting and Dame theoretically signs off on such a trade, don’t you listen to him? Or any trade in general. They meet regarding the “direction” of the team, you tell your Franchise cornerstone and future greatest franchise player of all time what your plans are, and listen to what he has to say…Right?

Not even saying these rumors are legitimate or that Dame feels that way. I’m just going to keep it in mind going into FA.

We should expect to see a lot of movement by the Blazers given what we’ve heard and the commitments they have made to Dame. Maybe the FO has changed their view after having what could be looked back on as the biggest theft by any team in any draft. The promise is definitely there, and so are the hopes to compete.

I think you can pretty much guarantee that there will be some news regarding roster changes once FA starts going off.
