I realized it was a lazy comparison... which should be expected since I know nothing about basketball.

Watching TCU @ Kansas right now, and I really like this Jalen Wilson on Kansas. Apparently he's projected as a late 1st/early 2nd, but he seems like he can do everything.

I’m all in on the Jarace Walker bandwagon.

    Defensive wrecking ball.

Jarace is way ahead for his age positionally as a defender. Knows where to be in help, get's there early and closes space really quickly. Probably his only real standout athletic skill though. Solid everywhere else but just doesn't jump off screen to me otherwise.

Need to see more to get a better read on how his feet are. They don't seem the quickest and I've seen him struggle with his recovery steps when he gets beat off the dribble.

Offensively he makes really quick decisions and seems to have good touch around the basket, but have questions about everything else.

I agreed with pretty much everything you said. GG Jackson seem to be a more fluid athlete but he has his struggles too. I like daron Holmes. He got a little bit of Nic Claxton to his game. He should be a late 1st rounder so I think that’s really good value for him

Anthony Black is someone I would be really excited to draft.

He fits in that Josh Giddey/Dyson Daniels/Lonzo Ball mold. 6’7 PG who’s a good defender and can run an offense. He doesn’t have the kind of athleticism that will launch him into the top 5, so if we are in the later half of the top 10, he might be there for us.

For those who aren’t convinced that Ant and Dame will ever work, adding Black to back up Dame or Sharpe at PG/SG might be the move.

Sharpe, Thybulle, and Black can all be multi-positional defenders at the wing position.

How do you feel about Baba Miller?

The shooting splits look terrible at FSU but he missed 16 games due to suspension and he’s rail think currently. But he has shown good defensive fundamentals in his games played. 6’11, 7-2 wingspan, and moves really fluidly for someone that size. If he doesn’t go back to school, he’ll probably be a mid 2nd rounder due to how bad his college season has been, but his defensive potential and ability to pass makes him so intriguing to me. It is essentially like drafting Ousmane Dieng, we just wouldn’t have to spend a lotto pick on him.

I really couldn’t tell you why I’m not sold on Walker offensively, but right now I’m just not. Brandon Miller is someone in that range that I like a lot more right now.

Are you referring to Jarace Walker’s offense?

I can see where you’re coming from. Walker got that Zach Collins vibe offensively. Like he does a lot of things decently, but nothing is elite about it. I actually prefer Taylor Hendricks from UCF over him

Brandon Miller seems like an obvious fit.

The best player in the country?

    Zach Edey

    22 ppg
    13 rpg
    41 PER

Ridiculous production. Historically good numbers across the board.

Over 7’5” in shoes, the thing that I like about him aside from his high bbiq is that he plays with a mean streak. Super aggressive.

He was just born in the wrong era - he’d be the #1
overall pick if this was 2001.

How is he defensively? I do like what I see from him offensively, but there’s no way this guy will keep up with guards. Teams will be hunting him for switches all game long if whoever drafts him is planning to play him over 15mpg.

I’d be curious where in round 2 he lands though.

Wow I’m watching Taylor Hendricks right now and he’s pretty impressive physically for someone who won’t even be 20 until November.

I like that he attacks the rim hard. I trust him to be a better shooter than Walked too he’s pretty much an 80% ft shooter.

Wonder what his wingspan and vertical will measure at. Also a full year younger than Miller. I’m excited to look into this guy more.

Agreed. He also block 1.8 a game compare to walker’s .9 a game meanwhile Walker get .2 more steal a game. This tell me that there isn’t much of a difference in their perimeter defense, but Hendricks is way better at protecting the rim. I just trust Hendricks more to be a valuable NBA player
