Looking at the schedule to divine a prediction would be a bit too rational for my current mindset regarding this team. However, upon your recommendation, I looked. Really not sure where you're seeing 7-8 wins. The only wins I'd predict the rest of the way are 3/24/23 against the Bulls, and 4/6/23 at the Spurs. I could see them being favored 3/26-27 against OKC and NOP, but I'd expect them to lose at least one of not both of those.
The next 5 games are going to get Team Wemby all excited before the Blazers get healthy, hit the softer end of schedule run and crush their hopes.
Lillard wants to win. Billups wants the playoffs. We should trust they can get it done, and not worry about blowing the chance to draft a top rookie. There's many other teams, including East Coast squads, that are eyeballing top ten draft spots. I'd much rather see the Blazers finish the season at a competitive level, then jump into the mosh pit for super rookies.
What have they shown this year that leads you to trust that they can get it done? I mean, I certainly prefer winning, but I have no reason to believe we'll see much of it over the next 5 weeks.
This: The Blazers started healthy and won 10 of their first 15 games. The next game, Dame was injured and the Blazers lost 6 of their next 7 games. Now find another significant stretch of the season where the Blazers had the major players of their roster all intact.
Blazers FINALLY back to a playoff spot with no chance in hell of winning anything. All seems right with the world, even if it’s only for a fleeting moment
I expect both Ant and Nurk will both be back. Whether they can stay healthy is another matter in this uncertain world.
I don't want anybody else When Dame hits the deck I crap myself Oh, I don't want anybody else Oh no, oh no, oh no...
