So you want him going 110% and maybe getting injured again? I bet Shaedon has been thinking about avoiding injury especially after Scoot got injured as well. I saw more than enough from Shae tonight. Sure it would have been nice in some ways if he went for 40. I'm more concerned about his off-season work ethic and if he's going to focus like a laser on his handle. One thing that bums me about Dame leaving that isn't about Dame himself, is that I'm not sure Sharpe will get the chance to train with Dame now.

He gets to train with Scoot, which is even better.

Nice to see Sharpe finally put together a good game.

Each game he's played much better in the 4th when - unsurprisingly - they put the ball in his hands.

Team needs to figure out how to better get Sharpe the ball. Sharpe needs to figure out how to play with more effort even when he's not getting every touch.

I already like Scoot, but I don't think you can really say it's better for him to train with Scoot than Dame other than if you're worried that Dame might poison Sharpe against the Blazers which sadly is now a non-zero risk. I do like them building chemistry and maybe Scoot's fire and so forth really rubbing off on Sharpe.

Also nice to see Kris finally have a good game. He did everything he's going to be expected to do on the actual squad: hit open shots, make smart cuts, grab rebounds.

Missed three free throws and stepped out of bounds on two corner threes though. Rookie mistakes.

The stepping out of bounds is specifically called the Jarrett Jack play.

I'd like for him going 110% (if that were possible). The only people who think playing hard might cause them to get hurt and people who don't play hard. Many people who I've been around claim you're more likely to get hurt when you're not giving 100% vs the other way around. I don't think either claim is provable, so I don't worry about.

I'm not overly concerned with Sharpe because of summer league. For months, I've been a little more reserved than some in feeling optimistic he's a future All-NBA player, but I have no doubt he's athletic enough. I hope when he's a multi-time MVP, this gets bumped and thrown in my face!
