Toumani still makes a lot of mistakes. I love him too but if that’s our standard then to ignore Scoot, Dalano and Deni is just haterade

Clingan's fitness is looking better the past couple games, and against Edey/Gobert it appears the game is finally slowing down for him. We'll see if that continues against more mobile bigs, but it's a promising trend. He's much more sure-handed when his head isn't on a swivel trying to keep up with the action.

That's why a guy like Camara is so valuable. He contributes at a comparable level to the stars but gets overlooked in a lot of ways, making him much more affordable to retain. He's an essential piece to the rebuild.

I’m not saying Camara isn’t good but it’s clear from the glasses who Cronin is building around.

He’s better to watch when he’s not limited to 10-12 mins as well.

I may be giving up on the Ayton experiment if there’s any chance in hell DC and Timelord can both stay healthy. They’re clearly better for chemistry.

    Couple of things
    1. Defensively we have potential to be very very good. Showed last couple of nights
    2. Biggest concern for me with Sharpe, does he have that fire. When he’s asked to the the man he becomes the man. If you have him off the ball he will defer.
    3. Sharpe needs to forced to take 25 shots a game.
    4. im not sure that happens with Simons and Grant. (No offense to those guys but they need to be 2nd and 3rd options)

I'm definitely in favor of the Blazers maximizing their lottery position this season. But I have said if Simons-Ayton-Grant are gone and the Blazers are winning enough game to knock them out of the top-half of the lottery, so be it

don't need to get out over our skis too far but the team without Simons/Ayton is a lot more entertaining; lots more. Now, it was only a 2 game homestand and it might be the Blazers just had Minny's number. I think with Simons/Ayton out, the Blazers had matchup advantages. And Camara is a great defensive answer for stars like Edwards. I'm not sure how much of this feel-good 24 hours is sustainable but it sure was fun

I remember Minny from last season; they had incredible mojo. Not this year...do they miss KAT that much?

    I have thoughts

Clingan allows the perimeter defenders to defend with pressure without worrying about getting beat

Sharpe, like Ant, can score in bunches. The difference is Sharpe does it WITHIN the offense

Camara might be our best defensive player since Pippen?

Murray is a smart basketball player

Great job from Scoot, despite his shitty passes

Banton came in and did more than chuck

Does Grant play better with this version of the Blazers

Avdija is hard to watch…sometimes….a lot of the time

Billups will immediately insert Ant and Ayton into the starting lineup and wonder why the team struggles as soon as they get healthy

Cronin, like MM, seems to love interchangeable wings, and anyone bashing him needs to check themselves

I get what you're saying. I'm saying that's irrelevant as far as who must be kept as a core piece. Hustle guys get underappreciated by marketers and casual fans, and are more affordable when it comes to retaining all the young talent. That's much more important than who is on the free glasses.

Chauncey saying the same things post game, about how he has to force Shae to be more selfish. Said the thing in the 4th that pissed him off now than anything else was working to get him an iso, and instead Shae tried to bounce pass into Clingan instead of looking for his own offense.

However, I think that is he's given the opportunity, he will develop into that guy. And I wouldn't be surprised if playing with Banton rubs off on him.

im big Scoot fan but to be honest if I had to choose between Camara and Scoot I’d choose Camara. His defense is elite, he might be 1st or 2nd team defensive player this year. Scary part is if Clingan is in the game guys know they can gamble. They were getting lots of tips and steals jumping passing lanes or over playing on defense. Fun to watch

if you're talking perimeter defense, Aminu was pretty good; didn't want him dribbling on a fast break though. Ed Davis was a very underrated defender, but not versatile enough on the perimeter/ Theo Ratliff and Marcus Camby were good defenders but that was in the paint. Batum was good on defense as long as he didn't have to be physical

I love it as a coach he’s saying I’m going to force you to take over. Going to keep calling his number and make him understand you’re our guy and you’re going to win the game for us period! Keep force feeding him and he’ll get more and more comfortable being that guy
