You speak in dollars, not sense.

If we are to become a better, more cohesive team, fit matters.

The past few games have shown that Ant/Ayton don’t but that Grant can and does.

I have found myself surprised that I am no longer opposed to the idea of keeping him.

Trade the misfits and evaluate from there.

Grant would fit well on a lot of teams, especially as a 3rd/4th option. A long wing with good length and 2-way and 3&D skills. His rebounding flaw is covered by the rebounding of Camara and Avdija. Blazers don't really need him though, at least not for the next 2 or 3 years. He should be shopped IMO, but not as vigorously as Simons and Ayton should be shopped. Those two should be dumped for whatever. Grant should only be moved for a solid return and cap relief

Well stated. I am not opposed to trading him, I just don't think he should be the top priority.

We also have Thybulle. And his production can be easily replicated with some combo of Murray/Rupes.

It is nice to see such a fathering of fandom, however I fear my path will be much the same as yours.

For me, it does take less time. However in that time, I've missed plays. Then i read about the plays i missed. Then I go back and watch the plays I missed. Then I have to catch back up in the game thread.
It’s a viscous cycle for those of us lacking in social forum posting skills.

Problem is we probably have to give up a pick to dump Thybulle.

The thing is his contract isn't really bad at all and will only get better over the next couple years. The Blazers are going to have top spend at least some money. Right now they are not spending much at all. His contract will not effect signing the rookies that we are getting and the extensions they will be getting.

That is opinion. I think Ants and Ayton’s may be worse. JG will be fine in two years.
Ant is a 6th man at best. Very limited defensively and seems to have lost some offensive touch but is paid almost like an all star. He needs to go so the ball can be in Scoot and Sharpes hands.

Ant is the 30th highest paid guard in the NBA. I don’t think his contract situation is as bad as many think.

That makes it not terrible, but how many of the other teams would he start for? If the answer is close to none, then he shouldn't be paid among the top-60 guards. (There are certainly bench guards around the league playing better than Anfernee.)

I believe he’s the 61st highest paid player in the game. I happy with his contract.

Good for you, I am not happy with his play and fit fit on this team, time to go if we can even trade him for an expiring contract and maybe a 2nd.

He's certainly not ranked that high, so that makes him overpaid by most accounts. But...maybe I should criticize Ant more often, because he finally showed some passion tonight!

I showed him your posts about him in the lobby this afternoon….. maybe it fired him up?
