Wow! We can't get rid of Ant, Jerami and Deandre fast enough. They just don't have the right roles on this team.

I liked the limited things I saw out of Shaedon tonight. I liked the really limited minutes I saw from Donovan.

It's a sad night for @AldoTrapani because the Rockets would have turned Scoot over a ton and Aldo could have talked some shit about Scoot, which is Aldo's favorite thing to do these days.

Goddamn, Clingan was Blazers broadcasting's player of the game in 15 and that's how bad we were tonight.

Not Shaedon. That dude is the only one on this team that is trending toward being all NBA.

If you get a good FRP then I would consider it if I were Joe

    WTF is a good FRP?

If on draft night someone offered me the second pick and I knew I was getting Ace Bailey... but you still haven't seen Ace Bailey score 30+ points two NBA games in a row. Shaedon is dope, so there is no way I trade him for a random pick in any draft.

Yep. I was hoping Portland would find a way to get him in the early teens....

Then I was hoping for Amen + Tari trade for Scoot... but what do I know?

I doubt the #3 pick was available for those two but I would've jumped on it as those were two of my favorite prospects after Sharpe.

The main reason is that Tari Eason's physical measurements are almost the same as Kawhi Leonard, actually, while being able to move with/without the ball in similar fashion. Both have gigantic hand sizes - 9" by 11" - that allows them to excel on both ends too.

It's a shame since he attended workouts for Portland and is a player Brandon Roy mentored. Blazers weren't able to get a second first round pick that year since the Pelicans made the playoffs, iirc (or was it because they missed it?). I remember it being an annoying trade that led to that outcome

not a fan of that idea

Jalen Duren leads the NBA in offensive rebounding rate, among 'qualified' players, with a 16.5% rate. Clingan's off. reb. rate is 17.2%. He'd be leading the NBA if ha had enough minutes to qualify. Possessions after offensive rebounds are about the most efficient and valuable possessions there are. I don't want Clingan sacrificing offensive rebound possessions because he's parked out by the 3-point line. It would be bad BBIQ

all you have to do is look at Nurkic. The season in Portland he had his highest 3 point attempt rate was also the season he had by far his lowest offensive rebound rate. It was also the season he had his lowest winshare/48 and BPM marks. He also had a negative OBPM

A big man like Clingan needs to play like a big man; like a Gobert or a Malone or a Shaq. He doesn't need to play like Meyers Leonard

Just look at Nurkic and pretend there aren't any other centers taking 3-pointers? Oh, there's Meyers Leonard too.

For real I get exactly why he said that. Cancer is a bastard and not something to be joked about.

I have lost family to cancer. My dad almost died to lung cancer. It’s a word.

Ant is a nondescript form of infectious disease, which has never been contracted before by anyone real or imagined and bears no resemblance to anything that may or may not trigger someone.

I’ve had a little bug. He is a cancer. Part of something that is harmful instead of helpful. A trade is like chemo

At no point did I say I wanted him parked out by the 3 point line. What I discussed is him being a threat from three If he can hit that shot.
The first response is also very viable. He needs a solid go to move around the basket. Any player that can give you multiple looks is going to be more valuable.
The one thing i for sure do not want is a center that does not command attention from anywhere outside the top of the key. That straight on 3 point shot Jokic makes is a back breaker. It opens up everything their offense runs. If you have a guy 7-2 that can pass the ball and is a threat to hit a shot from up top can you imagine the damage a guy like Sharpe would do? Also the easiest place to see a rebound trajectory is from out front. Parking Clingan out in a corner would be a travesty.
Another thing he seems to be working on is free throws. He had a 5-5 night against the T-Wolves and that brought him up to around 72% but he also had a 1-4 night vs OKC. He does play physical enough that he will be on the line.

Pretty terrible game by the Blazers. Makes me question how much luck as well as Minnesota bad play was the reason we beat them twice. Also question if we can even win 20 games while trying this year.

I assumed Scoot was benched because he is the worst shooter on the team. Realized closer to the half he was out with an injury. Liked Bantons play but would be fine if we moved on from Scoot and Ant. Deni at PG was more effective.

Ant is having a horrific year, missed shots with dumb turnovers. He has been bad on offense, with his poor D that makes him a player that shouldn't be in the NBA.

I heard one of our assistants had completely revamped the offense this year. Blazers are still struggling to implement it. I believe Danny Marang said this. If true I wonder if we'll continue to try and implement it? All our players look much worse than last year. Our vets may have lost trade value and now will be stuck here this whole season.
