    Join us in reality please.

Not counting 2 ways, the only players that have no business being on a roster are Duop and maybe Banton.

Ant must have heard he is not being traded. He has thrown in the towel.

Or the opposite. He looked pretty giddy when he was chatting with Norm after the game. Maybe he knows he's getting out of here and has decided to start giving a fuck when he gets to his new team... we will see.

Also if Joe has decided three fucking weeks before the deadline that he is definitely not trading Ant then he's way fucking worse at his job than I thought... and I think he is really shitty at his job.

Does the jersey come with its own ace bandage?

So Norman Powell is MUCH better than any player on the Blazers roster.

We gave him away for Eric Bledsoe contract and Didi. We're still paying both of them this season.

Hated the trade at the time and it looks worse every day.

We used any salary savings to hand out Ayton, Grant, Ant, and Thybulle massive contracts.

The Blazers GM and ownership might be the worst in the NBA.

So we have a bunch of guys who should be 13th men on other teams... that's not great.

What Blazer in last night's game would be on the Thunder, Celtics, or Cavs rotation?

I'd probably say the most likely are Camara, Timelord, Sharpe but they're probably 10th men or less on those squads. Deni might be our best player. None of the Blazers are a starter or 6th man on those squads.

This Blazers roster is a complete joke.

It was imperative we salary dump so we could pay our veterans who would help Lillard take the team to the promised land a big bag!

That was the reasoning I was given here at least for why it was a “good trade”

Trading Powell away for nothing never made any sense if we were going to make a real run at winning with Dame. We needed vets to win.

If the Blazers were going to tear down the roster they should have done it at that time and just traded Dame back then.

I never would have thought Neil Olshey would look like he had much better strategic direction than the subsequent Blazers GM but somehow Cronin was able to give him that accomplishment.

You do realize that most teams don't have players that would be starters on the 3 best teams in the league, right?

And you do realize that Williams was a *starter* on the Celtics when he played, right?

    Swear, this place...

What the fuck would we do with Norman Powell currently? You'd just be bitching every single day that we have a 31 year old on a rebuilding roster making too much and taking too many shots.

And we didn't pay ayton. He was the cost of adding Camara. Great deal, IMO.

Seriously does it not get old coming on here and having the same complaint every day? Every fucking day! Because it sure as hell gets old to read.

Ant, Grant, Ayton. Ant, Grant, Ayton.
Ant, Grant, Ayton. Ant, Grant, Ayton.
    Ant, Grant, Ayton.Ant, Grant, Ayton.

    Every day. Every thread.

I don’t think it’s about us trading Powell. It’s about what we got for him in return.

At that time it wasn’t rebuild mode. We were reshuffling veteran fringe starters to put aside Lillard.

It got us out of a 5 year, 90 million dollar commitment to a small guard that wasn't a good defender. It got us a flier on a recent 1st round pick who turned out to be nothing special, but was worth a flier, it got us a 2nd round pick, and essentially an expiring contract. He'd cream his fucking jeans if we got expirings, someone picked in the 1st round of this past draft, and a 2nd for Simons.

that's assuming Cronin wasn't cat-fishing Dame (and Blazer fans) with all his chatter about building better roster around Dame. About the only thing Cronin did on that track was trade for Grant. But since he resigned Grant after Dame asked for a trade, it's credible to think getting Grant was independent of whatever Dame did

Right. We needed to trade Simons then and move Powell to guard.
