That's risky making Sharpe's out of glass. But accurate, so props for that, I suppose.

rather than two picks make it unprotected along with another young player in return. Doubt Knecht would be available but who knows Grant would be way more valuable in line with Lebrons timeline of win now.

How sadly pathetic. Blazers win a game on the road, showing improvement, tenacity, and grit......and the thread is about future picks.

I guess when we were kids and someone asked what team we were a fan of, some should have just said, "I'm a fan of championships".

I'm a fan of the Blazers.....and I am a fan of winning. Winning every night they step on the floor. If I truly would rather lose now, to win later,
I would feel like I have some sort of mental disease.

    Competing (definition)
    * the person or people with whom one is competing, especially in a commercial or sporting arena; the opposition
    * an event or contest in which people compete
    * the activity or condition of competing

I failed to find the definition of:
*being a loser now, so one can win a more important contest later

To clarify, I am not upset with this board, I am sad with where fans are going with the way they follow and discuss their team.
I never thought it would reach the levels that it has. The days of appreciating a win with my fellow fans are over. Like many
things in life, things move on.

Good luck folks. I wish you all the best.

There is some truth to this. I want to be the kind of fan the current players want in MODA. I would *guess* they want fans to be nuts and want them to play asses off and go for the win every night. Even if they did that sans JG and AS, the odds they win are slim. They win 25 MAX. If the stars align. And the planets etc. But they can fight every night. Foul clean but hard. Don't be afraid to mix it up with opponents. Be tough. Forge identity. Work on fundamentals.

Not sure what the “official” attendance was for last night, but that arena was EMPTY!

This is my concern with Cronin. I think he's capable, but it's well beyond time to stop straddling the fence.

I need someone to explain this to me, as y'all are throwing this around without anything substantive to qualify it. Cronin and his staff had a vision for the team, and have brought in the players they believe fit that vision.

We are 5 games into the season, and they will now begin the process of evaluating the talent and determine how the pieces fit moving forward. There is no fence straddling involved, this is the process of building a very exciting young team.

No, they have no had the success of OKC in their rebuild, but neither has 28 other teams.

Grant and Simons jacking shots and getting enough respect from officials to win us a few games against bad teams is only going to hurt our draft position and slow the development of the guys who need minutes on the court to develop.

Those were valuable minutes the young guys should have had at the end of the game last night.

you keep saying this but the young players seem to be improving regardless of your opinion on this.
If half way through the season they look even better than they do now? Id say your opinion is fairly clearly wrong. And i expect them to be improved by mid season from where they are now.
Proof will be on the court.
