What people don’t know about you is that you graduated high school when you were 14.
I'll take that.
vs SAS highlights
And also, TRENT!
Don't know if this has been posted--but Simon's has this video posted of him being picked by Portland.
Thanks. I saw one from another angle that mostly captured the other people in the room. His reaction is very understated--like his demeanor in games. Like Dame.
Oh okay I'd only seen the video of Simons walking through the room with his mom and crying. But not when they actually announced the pick.
SL vs. Hawks II
Simons is going to be a monster when he bulks up.
His extremely quick release is Curry-like.
If he grows another inch or two, he could have superstar potential.
Am I the only one who kind of feels like we stole a Donavan Mitchell type of player in the draft?
Watching him tonight it occurred to me that he is deceptively long. Long arms and good hops.
I expect that Simons won't produce like Mitchell in his rookie year, but it sure looks like he might get there down there road.
Oh definitely. He's not going to start and average 20 a game or whatever. But, he has the skillset, and physical ability to get there someday. Since Golden State is running a train on the rest of the NBA for the next few years, it feels good to stock up on good young talent.
BUT HE NEVER PLAYED COLLEGE !!!!
If he develops to the point of being noteworthy, he's destined to become the successor to Shawn Kemp's "straight from HS" confusion.
Yeah, imagine if he has a big enough growth spurt in him to hit SF range.
Wouldn't it be ironic if, while everyone talked up Young as the next Curry, Simons ends up being the closest equivalent?
Certainly Simons has raised IMG's stock for the next few years. Probably won't be long term if NBA kills the one and done limit.
