An Oregon company has recalled more than 28,000 pounds of ground beef that may be contaminated with E. coli. A sample produced at Interstate Meat Distributors in Clackamas last month tested positive for the bacteria. The recall includes ground beef sold at Kroger, WinCo, Wal-Mart and Albertson’s stores in Oregon, Washington and five other Western states. The products impacted were all sold in 1- or 3-pound packages and all have a “use or freeze by” date of January 11, 2021. Anyone who purchased these products is asked to throw them away or return them to the store for reimbursement. E. coli is potentially deadly, but generally causes dehydration and gastrointestinal problems for up to a week. https://www.opb.org/article/2022/01/07/more-than-28000-pounds-of-oregon-ground-beef-recalled/
Albertson's owns Safeway. They don't list Fred Meyers, they list the parent company Kroger. Albertson's is the parent company, so Safeway is included under Albertson's.
Did anyone actually get e. coli or is this just more needless health mandates? Throw out food, what a waste!
...I am just going to take a dose of Cow De-wormer before I eat my burger instead of throwing it away
