I’ve picked up Dallas as my rebuild project. Very good foundation with Doncic and Smith and they are actually not hopeless to play with in first season either with Barnes, Matthews, Jordan and Dirk. Milwaukee, Utah and Philadelphia as my other three saves but I will focus on Dallas for now. Of course I also got a Blazers save to play which was the first I did but I usually like to interchange between several teams to not get bored. The only small issue I have is with the graphics - it’s too bright, especially white players are al too pale and colors are too saturized. I thought it was TV but regardless of settings it looks like this.
Did anyone try the GM story mode? It was like 1000 lines of text every convo, and asking me if I moved a team to Seattle or someshit. 0/10.
It's funny how the simulation consistently has the Blazers below .500. Idiots over there at 2K man... rediculous.
That shit is boring. I'd rather just be the Player/Coach/GM/Owner. I play MyCareer and MyLeague. But there are so many ways to play this game.
Thinking of picking this up. How's this game if you want to play a realistic simulation type game? Tried 2k16 briefly - it was ok - have the newer 2k games improved the basketball simulation aspects or is it just all about the flashy dunks and presentation? (If so might have to rip out my Bulls vs Blazers cartridge and have a session on that instead)
I will pick this up tonight or tomorrow but from what I’ve gathered NBA Live is more on the flashy / presentation and cool dunks vibe. 2k this year is the better “sim” type game. Dviss seems to really be a fan (not trying to put words in his mouth) but his posts on here have been pretty positive about this years 2k, which is a big reason why I’m going to pick it up.
16 was MUCH better than 17 and 18. 19 is getting back on track. Right now it's pretty great. I LOVE the takeover badge. Euro steps are a little harder to do but I'm adjusting. There are some great new animations.
Nope but apparently I can trade DeAndre for Ingram. Won’t do it as it’s not realistic at all. Dallas are a fun rebuild because you can actually play with them seriously in the first season. Dirk is plenty fun, Jordan is good and both backcourt young stars are great. Barnes and Matthews are also ready now players, you don’t actually need to tank.
You can put the shot meter above his shoulder, around his feet, or both. You can turn it completely off or have it on just for jumpers. At this point it's much better than 17 and 18.
I’ve been playing the Blazers vs the Nuggets on whatever the difficulty is just beneath hall of fame and it’s really hard to slow them down. I haven’t quite mastered Dames shot, but CJ is magical in this game.
