Great game one win. Takes the pressure off big time for game two. Lundqvist was great and as I said earlier can't really ask for anything else out of this one tonight.

yep my prediction still stands. They will pull wins on the road out of their ass and then manage to fuck it up at home.

Agreed. Lundvist's best game. First star....2nd star Glass. Had a strong game. Found a way to win. Very satisfied with there play for the most part. Thought Holden was pretty bad but aside from that, no complaints. Will need to find a way to score on the PP going forward though.

That was an AWESOME game by Hank. If he can play like that, we can definitely make some noise. Just need that PP to get its act together. Definitely happy with that win. Now the pressure is 100% on Montreal next game. Gonna be a FUN game 2!!!!

Cannot ask for much more. Played a great game. Outside of the PP struggling and not finishing a chance early in the 2nd, it really was a great performance. Controlled the game after the 1st period. Got worst case a split up there.

Hank was great. D played really well. PK played really well. Not much else we could want outside of finishing a few more plays. Great start.

Hank showed up. Big game from him. Even old dog Girardi did well.

It's a lost cause. The .0000000000000000000000000000000000001% of Ranger fan that would be negative right now just has to be here.

Hank was tremendous in this game. However, the forwards sucked. As usual our best forwards are offensively incompetent. Also thought Girardi and Staal were really good for a change. Another 5 on 3 that looked like crap. Anyway. Good road win. I expected them to win a game on the road. It's the home games that are a problem.

If there's a change to make its Holden out for Klein. Holden had an AWFUL game. But not sure I'd make that move. It's the only one AV should make. Leave Glass in as we have seen how Montreal is going to play and we will definitely need him to drop the gloves in game 2.

It's quite possible in a tight series like this. Montreal simply doesn't have elite scoring forwards out there. Maybe one guy in Pacioretty.

HANK the first second and third star here.

Girardi and Staal played like men tonight.

Need to keep getting pucks on Price, 30+ shots per game only way we'll win. You're not going to beat him cleanly (unless you're Tanner Glass on the backhand) so more pucks means greater chance of a garbage goal.

What a game. Didn't sit down the entire time.

Montreal is big and stupid like those flyer teams. Kill them with the goals.

Felt all along Rangers would need to win 3 games at Montreal to win this series. They are abysmal at home and I don't see that changing.

The defense as a whole other than Holden's plays with the puck looked very good. Much more structured and not losing guys in front. Making the right reads and passing off the man at the right time. That's all Hank needs. Structure.

Its the playoffs. I will take my chances with this core vs teams without elite forwards home or away. Lundqvist was garbage the previous 2 weeks in regular season and you saw tonight how much the regular season matters. Its likely still a long series but this was a great start.

Outside of cashing in on a few chances they played a very solid game tonight. We forget as bad as they've played at times but this team has an awful lot of playoff experience. And I agree with ho said it but markov needs a kick in the balls for that cheap Speer on Nash
