lines have been normal the whole game. AV was playing with our heads and Julien's.

Better pressure there, which is good to see. A goal would be better.

5 v 5 Montreal is dominating the play. Our guys can't win a board battle, as usual, defensive zone lapses are creeping in, offensively struggling to keep zone pressure and instead of crashing the net on rushes are content to shoot from outside with no one going in front looking for a rebound. Best chance we had was when Kreider went to the net and deflected wide, Lindberg went right down towards the net and hit the post and on the PP when we crashed the net. I wish this team/coaching staff would see that and realize that's how you're going to beat this team. Hank looks AWESOME again which is great to see because we're gonna need him if we are gonna win this one it looks like. Hoping for a fire lit under their ass in period two.

Typical NYR home game...and that is not a good thing. Playing without a ton of fire, and PP was terrible. You know Montreal is getting 2 or 3 PP's in a row or 3 of 4 coming up. Simply need to raise our level if we want to win this game.

That period was pretty much a vacation for Price outside of 1 or 2 medium chances and a post.

This team plays so much better on the road man. Need to play with way more emotion to have a shot to win, and the dmen need to clean it up also, a couple of real dangerous passes.

    WAKE UP!!!

They are playing at home in the playoffs so it is not shocking.

Seriously though, I am getting angry now. 5 straight home playoff L's outscored 18-3. We saw the same effort in that period that we did games 5 and 7 against TB and against the Pens. It is crazy now that this team plays with no passion at home.

Canadiens playing typical shut down road game. What is Av 's answer to the away team dominating
the Rangers? This story is getting old!

I simply cannot explain it. Is the crowd not into it enough and it deflates the team? Do the players think the emotion of the crowd will carry them so they don't get as hyped up to play at home? Do they try and be more East/West at home instead of North/South? Is this home thing so in their heads now that it is throwing them off?

I just do not get it, but it is more about the Rangers when we have seen it against TB, the Pens, and now one period against the Habs. Different teams but same lackluster home effort.

Compare that period and that effort to what we saw the first 5 + periods of this series...no comparison. D much crisper with passes. Much harder on the puck. Much more speed and passion. Don't understand.

Simple explanation. Maybe it's time to look at the coaching.

That doesn't make sense to me because they have that effort on the road. So what is the difference? I don't have the answer, but it is a clear issue.

I think they just feel inherently more pressure at home, whereas on the road they bond together more as a percieved underdog. Home ice is almost nil in the nhl except maybe in a game 7. When you feel you 'should' win at home that's when problems start.

LOL...I feel bad for those people who paid so much money to see them play in the last 5 games in the playoffs.

They legit have 3 players at the blue line in the offensive zone. What the fuck.

Completely being dominated at home in a playoff game. Just doesn't make sense.
