What was the hangover from the same games we saw at MSG the past 5 playoff games before tonight?

I don't know maybe they should look at Sutter. At least that guy knows how to win in the playoffs.

Suggest what "system" you would like with this group. As mentioned Tort's didn't win them anything either.

This guy is so terrible when he receives the pass in the offensive zone, it is mind boggling at this point. Every single of his shot gets either blocked or he shoots it wide. I dont even know what happened to this game. I guess all the head shots and eye injury have caught up to his brain.

I think it has been brought up before but it seems this team has too many of the same player.

    This was no hangover.

And here is the issue, tonight wasn't about the D, we didn't even sniff a good chance until under 4 minutes to play. This is about the pathetic dogs upfront.

    10 with an awful penalty.
21 gets beat on a face off cleaner than freshly washed sheets.
    93 coasting.
13 and 20 playing with no emotion or fire.

On and on. Really pathetic shit.

Make a call to Sutter. His teams win in the playoffs but he is not a good regular season guy as our gum chewing mule.

I doubt AV gets canned even if we go out in 5 again, he signed an extension this season, but I would prefer someone between him and Torts. Torts was all D and pack it in. AV is all go go go and we suffer in our own zone because of it.

I'll also add on AV, that style is real tough to play come playoff time. Space gets tight. Long passes get broken up. You need some grit and good discipline to win in the playoffs.

Not sure it is a coincidence that AV's best team here was his first year when the players still had the Torts D discipline in them, and added the O of AV. Since then we have gone backwards. That's the truth.

I brought this up before. I wish they had Brass back. 93 looks like another softie who will be good enough in the regular season but suck in the playoffs.

Doubt they would have Vesey if they don't make that deal (cap issues). Plus they got a good pick also. I still make that trade, but no doubt at just 24 in 2 days, Zib needs to grow and improve as a player.

So far Zib can't hold Brassards playoff jock. Brass wasn't perfect but he scored a lot of big playoff goals and thats what this team needs most

Cannot argue that Disturbed. Hopefully he will improve considering he is young still.

BUT we also cannot have revisionist history on Brass. Didn't 5 of these pathetic home efforts happen with Brass? Games 5 and 7 against TB with Brass. Let's not lose sight of that even if he was good in the playoffs. He had many no shows here as well.

But I don't think we have heard Zib's name once in 3 games for a good play...not once.

Definately need more skill and playmaking on the roster. Too many poor shooters. PP qb too..hello Shatt.

If they buyout Girardi this summer, a must or deal him with an asset somewhere to clear the cap space, I would love to resign Smith and add Shatty to McDonagh and Skjei. Maybe Graves also. Now you have a solid D.

BUT unless we really no show games 4 and 5 AV is not getting fired, so moot point. Best we can hope for Arneil gone. And a couple of big roster reshaping moves by Gorton.

No shot I don't think. Cannot have that much dead cap space for years, that would be a bad move. Staal will be here next season unless Gorton can work some crazy magic.

Maybe eventually they move him with a pick to LV or someone with cap space.
