Now hearing there might be more components in the deal. Maybe make them take Glass for Korpikoski. We can only pray

The Rangers have acquired Keith Yandle from Arizona for Anthony Duclair, John Moore and a first round pick in 2016. (Darren Dreger)

Arizona is picking up 50% of Yandle’s contract. (McKenzie)

    McD/Girardi
    Staal/Klein
    Yandle/Boyle

Best D in NHL IMO. Come on now.

If we can add one more piece like a gritty forward, Bernier, we are a clear cup fav.

He was all over it. Girardi never made sense to me.

I guess Zona picks up 1/2 his money this season AND next season?

Get your butt on a plane to NY NOW Yandle. We need you tomorrow night. I said last night today would be the day for us so we can have the guy tomorrow night.

Chuck, you can't alter the percentages year to year on retaining salary. If you pick up half this year, it's half on every year remaining.

    We'll have yandle next year with a 2.6 m hit. That's AWESOME

Nice...2.6 for Yandle next season is a STEAL. He is a 50 point dman every season, and a PP stud. Doesn't score a lot of goals, but can pass with the best of them.

This has to mean MSL is gone if we add 2.6 for Yandle and will resign Zucc. Unless he plays for 1 mill MSL is gone. And wonder what it means for Hags.

They were in Boston yesterday, but I bet he already got back to Zona. Now get back on a flight to NY Yandle...LOL.

4:40PM: The Rangers extension with Mats Zuccarello is not-yet done but is “likely” to be four-years and $4.5 million per year. (McKenzie)

They are still working on the NTC provisions

I knew Zucc would get smart. 4.5 per is so fair for him. Four years also. That is a good deal all around.

You guys do realize that we just lost our best prospect for Yandle and the first round pick? Who is beyond overrated.

You are funny Step. You would be negative if we traded for god...LOL.

Yandle is a 50 point dman EVERY season. He will count 2.6 mill next season on our cap. We dealt a pick in the 20's and Duclair, who we don't really know how good he will be yet, for him. That is a great deal IMO.

The Rangers have acquired Keith Yandle, Chris Summers and a 2015 4th round pick from Arizona for Anthony Duclair, John Moore, a first round pick in 2016 and a second round pick in 2015. (Darren Dreger)

HF boards are too funny. The Rangers haters talk about how the Rangers farm sucks and the prospects are overrated. Now they make it seem like Duclair is a franchise prospect and the Rangers got ripped off. That board sucks on an incredible level.

I said I don't mind giving up a high pick for a difference maker. Yandle can be that. Let's face it. Boyle has sucked on the PP. He's too old and has lost it. Yandle can improve the PP. His passing skills also factor in to setting off the transition game with Kreider, Haglein, Nash and some of the other speed guys. I can live with this. Followed Duclair for over 2 years. Provided they still have their two seconds. They can take another high skill offensive player in the draft and hope it works out.

So we gave up a 2nd this year and a 1st next year. We got a 4th back.

Steep price, but fills a need, and gives us the best D in the NHL IMO.

Any shot we can add a depth grit forward? I would love to cap it with that. Bernier or McClement?

Correction. Now they have one second rounder. Ehhhh. I can still live with this. Our PP is starting to suck and you need to score on the PP in the playoffs.
