Wow right Chuck. How things change. Good to see them also getting MZ at a nice rate. Buchnevich is a better prospect than AD imo so a win in that regard too. Boyle and Yandle give them all the blueline O they need, and Mac hopefully picks up too.

I like Duclair, but I don't see Kreider when I watch him. Looks like he has a ton of offensive upside, but he is not big. He is not Kreider. And from a size bang POV he is not Miller either. And we still have Buch, who may even help in the playoffs.

Man if they could ever get Buch signed for 1m and ready as a playoff spare.

Yandle also has 19 points in 27 playoff games. Dude gets a lot of assists. Our players better be ready to SHOOT THE PUCK.

Duclair is small and soft. We have too many players like that. Yandle one of the best Offensive Dman in the league

    Great point by LeBrun:

Pierre LeBrun notes that the 4th round pick the Rangers are getting is essentially a late 3rd round pick based on where Arizona will pick. (LeBrun)

I agree strud. That was my point also. He will score, but he is not the physical guy like Kreider or even Miller. I rather keep Miller.

Figure that 4th rounder will be the 3rd or 4th pick of the 4th round. Not a HUGE difference from a late 2nd rounder. Maybe 35-40 picks later. So almost one round later not two.

4:37PM: The Coyotes wanted to keep Yandle around long term and only planned to deal him if they got a big return and they did. (Craig Custance)

    Funny comments:

Renaud Lavoie: “I think the #coyotes liked what they saw at the WJC with Max Domi and Anthony Duclair playing together. They will when they’ll turn pro.”
Craig Custance: ‘Coyotes really like Yandle. Wanted to keep him around long-term. Were only going to move him for a big deal and got it.”
Bruce Arthur: “So per @DarrenDreger, all Sather had to do to convince the Coyotes to retain salary was send a top prospect and a first-rounder and wheee”
Damien Cox: “That’s just a silly deal for the Rangers. Lose Duclair, next year’s first, no first this year. Seriously mortgaging future.”
Damien Cox: “But hell, at least Ranger fans can know team is going for it now. Worry about future later, I guess.”
David Pagnotta: “Teams have been knocking on the Coyotes’ door for years asking about Yandle. GM Maloney wasn’t willing to move him if not for a huge return.”
Patrick Kearns: “Is there any way Dan Boyle is a Ranger next season?”
David Pagnotta: “Yandle’s cap hit is $5.25M, but will earn a salary of $5.75M next season (which AZ also eats half of). Imagine that, Coyotes spending $.”
Spector’s Hockey: “So, #Coyotes GM Don Maloney FTW? Duclair, Domi and possibly McDavid or Eichel if they get 1st or 2nd overall. Yowzah!”
Patrick Kearns: “The Rangers have literally no interest in 2-3 seasons from now, in my opinion. this is all about this season and next.”
Bruce Arthur: “I think the best thing thing about this trade deadline is the tanking. I can’t wait until Buffalo trades its other goalie and uses a goat”

Yandle sucks defensively by the way. -34 career player. Cant wait to watch him get abused in our zone. IMO, not worth the price they paid for him. PP was not the most pressing need. They went like 0 for 27 last year on PP and made the finals. Boston won the cup with having terrible PP.

I agree. Just give me someone. McClement or Bernier will work fine. Just a decent bottom 6 guy. McClement would be god for faceoffs.

Here is an interesting question...who comes out tomorrow night for Fast? We know Miller has to stay on the 3rd line, so Stemp or Glass? I bet Stemp.

Love the moron anti Rangers fans stating we will be screwed in a few years on HF.

    Miller 21
    Kreider 23
    Hayes 22
    Hagelin 26
    Stepan 24
    Brassard 27
    Zucc 27
    Fast 23
    Nash 30
    McDonagh 25
    Staal 28
    Yandle 28
    Klein 30
    Girardi 30

I don't see it. I figure, develop Buch, Tambellini, Skjei, Graves and Walcott, team can still be young in a few years. They have 2 good, young goalies in the system. I think they have gone as far as they can go now giving up picks. It can't happen again after this. They need to keep their first rounders going forward.

We are 11th on PP in the entire league. Oh yeah, we really need to fix the PP. We don't score enough...LOL
