If you look at Ottawa they have Karlsson who is a total stud. After that on D they have a couple of solid/okay dmen, but their 3rd pair is very lacking. Upfront they have 6 or 7 solid forwards, but no one that makes you say wow what a stud. And Anderson in goal is a good goalie, but certainly not great. The thing about them is they play that trap slow down game that will make each game a slow boring pace.

Boston if healthy has a higher upside I believe, but they aren't close to healthy.

But I'll still say it doesn't matter that much to me which team we play (rooting for Ottawa though), I would be VERY disappointed if we lost to either. We are a clearly better team than both. I'd hope for a game 7 first and foremost.

Thought we would lose this in 6. Glad I was wrong. I expect this team to beat either Ottawa or Boston as I think we are better than both. D stepped up big in this series. Haven't seen them play that kind of D since the Tampa conference finals run.

It's amazing that they won with Kreider playing like an ass the whole series. Need him to get his head of his ass. I expect for him to have a big series against either Sens or Boston.

Hank was the obvious MVP but give a lot of credit to Brendan Smith for turning the series around with his toughness. He wasn't going to take it anymore and a lot of Rangers followed suit. Some good hitting and they showed toughness. Montreal tried the bully routine and couldn't handle it once the Rangers starting hitting back.

Rangers played physical this series. More physical than I've ever seen them play. Smith is a good defensemen. Should have no problem beating Boston or Ottawa

I didn't think there was much chance they would ever win this in less than the full seven but they found themselves on home ice at the right time. Lundqvist outplaying Price was huge. Nash and Girardi were excellent and putting PB was very smart.

Hopefully Girardi continues to play well. He got railed a few times and was laboring at the end.

Smith was huge. Added an element we didn't have and clearly needed. We'd be F'd without him.

We led the playoffs in hits into the game tonight, how crazy is that. Great to see.

I wouldn't expect us to beat the Pens or Caps in the ECF if we get there, but you never know what can happen when you get that far.

Let's focus on round 2 first, but I am excited we could have another 4 weeks of hockey left.

Hopefully the other series goes 7 and they get almost a week to rest.

Yes. I wonder when the series would start if Ottawa wins tomorrow? Maybe Wednesday or more likely Thursday I'd guess.

If there is a game 7 it isn't until Wednesday, so we'd be off until Friday or Saturday.

Either way off until at least Wednesday I'd say, maybe Thursday.

How did Rangers avoid a double minor on that Miller high-sticking penalty? Not that it matters at this point but a 2 min vs 4 min penalty is huge.
Have to say I was also very impressed with Radulov....as I remember he was a dog at times w/ Nashville prior to his stint in the KHL but he is a beast. Would love to have that guy in a Rangers uniform.

One thing against them will be that they are the favorites now in the next round. Everyone and their mother will expect them to win. They dont really seem to do well when they have some expectations. They do better when they face some kind of adversity.

I'm not. If you saw the replay the stick hit the visor yet his mouth bled? I think he either bit his tongue or lip to cause blood.

I agree. I think he made the inside of his mouth bleed on that one.

Oh is that what happened? Guess not then. They were pulling out all the stops in this series.

Radulov was the best forward from either team in the series
