Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine Portland at Houston tonight trying to become first team to sweep Texas Triangle since Boston in 2008. Elias says Blazers last did it in 1991
Here is a little info: http://www.nba.com/features/texas_triangle.html Boston last did it in 2008 and : So just twice in 14 years
These next two games have me more nervous than the first two. Of course, if we had just beaten OKC and HOU on consecutive nights and were about to play DAL and SAS I'd say the same thing. Completing this road trip 3-1 or 4-0 would silence a lot of doubters. I'm hoping the fact this game is on national television serves as a motivator to our team to show the East Coast Media what this team is capable of.
I wish it had been the DAL game on TNT. We didn't "live by the jumpshot" there, we just destroyed a playoff team on their floor with dunks, LaMonster inside and decent D. The garbage time would've allowed for lots of announcer fill time to talk about the Blazers and their rise. As it is, I'm afraid that it'll be 8-on-5 and it'll be a 150-minute homage to Howard and Harden, who have a combined 0 titles among them.
