Mines up 21% over 3 years. Folks underestimate the market under a democratic president as always, because it’s been 3 straight years of fox telling them the markets bad rather that looking at the facts. Same shit happened under Obama.

My retirement accounts have done far, far better under Joe. Especially the past 3-4 months. I'm not sure I ever even broke even under Trump. And I don't understand why the Democrats aren't thumping the tub harder than they have been. Joe and company have been far better for the economy than Trump regardless of pandemic dynamics. And never forget; it was Trump who shut the country down and Trump who got the inflation rocket primed with the first $1.5 Trillion giveaway

It's been good except for the value of the dollar ..the numbers are good but the bang for the buck has taken a massive hit ..lot of price gouging. I don't blame that on Joe, it started under Trump but in Oregon nobody should pay 80 dollars for a sheet of plywood that's not trucked across the country to get to you. A bottle of skin lotion that went for 1.98 is now 11.98. etc...my PERS savings account took a big dump under Trump and is doing much better under Joe. Next year I'll start tapping into my IRA accounts as I'll be 70 and have to start using it yearly.

Inflation in the US has been lower than the rest of the world.

The president of the United States doesn't control world monetary value.

Hmmm, just looked at 10 year charts for the stock market.

The Nasdaq did do better under Biden.

The dow did slightly better under Trump.

After you factor in inflation, real inflation, not the phony numbers the govt always puts out to keep col increases down. It appears the results are too close to call. Your results may vary.

Yep. The president doesn't matter. Dem or Republican. They are all beholden to the corporate overlords.

My stocks are up over 20% over the last 12 months. 401k's can be tricky because you need to choose a certain portfolio that may or may not reflect the overall markets. My wife's 401k was not nearly as productive the last 12 months because she chose a safety of principle portfolio.

Maybe, maybe not. I’m financially secure. Wouldn’t mind being securer though.

If your portfolio is aligned with a political party I'd be looking at figuring out why.

Or better yet, find another that is aligned with the other political party and switch when the president changes. You're already halfway there!

My portfolio has nothing to do with politics.

That's strange because the stock market overall is up substantially since 2020. Most of my portfolio is invested in nasdaq stock and after a big dip the first part of 2022 has been up overall since.

After 55 years of playing the stock market, I pulled out several years ago and happy with cds.

My advice, play sectors. Either with mutual funds, or individual stocks.

A hot sector will increase the value of bad companies, while a cold sector will drag down the value of good companies.

It's more important to pick the right sector than the right stock. However, the best sectors change with time.

If it's down significantly under Biden it must.

Well, there might be a correlation, but I don't know that there must be causation? What if, for example, he put all his chips on one company, which tanked because of fraud allegations?

True. Then my first comment about needing to be more diversified would apply.
