He hasn't shown me much and was one of the most disappointing players on the UNC team last year. I see him as another Trevor Ariza, athletic as hell but that's about it. He can shoot a little, but he doesn't have the slashing/offensive rebounding/defense/passion that Ariza has.

So I guess we didn't really care about this draft.

 

So we don't have Terry?

 

we have some offensive minded 6'10 dude... i guess the guy can shoot. I was really looking forward terry but we will see what this guy has.

 

Oh well, losing Terry isn't the end of the world. Our offseason starts on July 1st.

Even though Terry is gone, I'd have to disagree. He is a bit more polished than Ariza. Seems about a toss up of who is the better defender/rebounder, but he has an unselfish game, smart decision maker(Ariza usually looks lost when he actually gets the ball), and has range.

Since we're on the topic of the draft, does anyone else like the Brad Newley pick? I'm on the fence. Never seen him play, but apparently he is another hustle player who can hit the three, with a great work ethic/attitude. He lacks strength, mediocre at the FT line, and is apparently slow for his size.

 

We didn't get Newley. That pick was sold to the Rockets.

Nope, he is staying overseas so basically we optimized our salary situation by getting no one that would get money counting against our cap. Basically our draft was Darko and SVG.

Supposedly Otis said that if Chris Richard was still available at 44 we would have drafted him and kept him.
