Amazing how some can turn any thread on any topic into personal insults.

I consider political violence deplorable. Whoever is targeted. If someone is upset about an election, march in the streets, join an organization, call your Congressperson, donate money and/or time.

Again, I wish Rep. Scalise a full recovery. But facts are facts. He did speak at an international white supremacist conference. He was praised by David Duke. And he was known as arguably the most antigay member of Congress. So I hope that during his recovery he does have time to think. Not necessarily change his politics (unlikely) but realize that two people did not hesitate for a second when they needed to protect him. It is not irrelevant that they did so without regard to how he has acted/spoken in the past. One of the officers is still in the hospital, with her wife at her side; I hope Rep. Scalise reconsiders his position as he has opposed even hospital visitation rights for same sex couples. Realize that people are people regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation and all deserving of the same respect and human rights.

And I hope that just once, just ONCE, we can have a thread without people being called "retards" and other shit. Probably unlikely.

I often over exaggerate my response for humor affect but I honestly wasn't that tilted, I just see shit like that and roll my eyes. Usually when you see me talk about shit on here, although I might sound mad when you read it, I'm not really. I just find it hilarious that people think there are more than one gender and use these pronouns. You could be right on the gender thing, I don't know though but as pointed out I think they word it differently now to include these pronouns.

 

I don't know much about him honestly, I would have to research all this stuff, it's the fact that with what you said you bring your own personal shit into it, your own agenda, "African Americans, and gays". Like okay what does that have to do with him getting shot. I'm sure after getting shot he will rethink whatever past decisions he made, shit I don't know if it was me I would be thankful to be alive and probably be more happy to see my family but to you it's like "oh yeah I hope that's what he thought about", for fucks sake I don't think anybody who gets shot and is in critical condition is sitting there like fuck man I should probably rethink these ideas in my head.
