We need a backup plan if Kobe tears his own head off by accident.

Difference is, having Bynum miss half the season again isn't as unlikely as your example.

We should pursue Kwame Brown this offseason. No joke.

Difference is Bynum is a beast. He wasn't missing half a season, he was strengthening his knee to come back even better next year..because we don't need him now.

Duh! He is our ace in the hole for game 7.

We should at least get something for Odom's expiring contract.

Mamba, on the radio, I heard Bynum probably won't be back next season. There is something really wrong with knee. They're saying his injury is much worse than they initially thought, and that it is career threatening. Even if he does return, he will never be the same again because his athleticism will be gone. Think Chris Mihm

What the hell, I've never heard that report before.

Link? Kind of sounds like a rumor, although I don't believe in Bynum anyway.

They can put him in the restraints they put on Hannibal Lector. Should be able to prevent him from doing it between games.

Is Artest all we can get? I'm not sure personally.

I'm sure the joy of winning the Finals will trump any negative health report on X Laker.

Can they possibly work a deal with NJ? They have a solid young PG in Marcus Williams and they can work a sign and trade with Diop to fortify their inside D and rebounding. Throw in a pick and another young big man (someone like Josh Boone) and it might work. It helps Jersey who want's cap space to chase LeBron

Give em Marcus? Okay. Richard Jefferson, sure. Diop? Eh, he wants to leave anyways.

Josh Boone? Meh. No thanks. We'll hold on to Josh.
