He never tells the black guy to shine his shoes. As the black guy walked past him, he was saying to his friend that he was going to take his shoes to his boy (meaning another friend) to have them shined. The black guy heard "boy" and "shine shoes" and thought old guy was telling black guy to "shine my shoes, boy." The black guy said, "Why I gotta shine your shoes," and the old guy heard "I <mumble> shine your shoes." Old guy is deaf enough, dumb enough, and unstable enough to think that maybe the black guy is offering to shine his shoes, and asks, "how much?" Because neither truly understood what the other was saying, it turned into a confrontation. Oh, and how about "Pinky?" Talk about offensive. Someone else mentioned that old guy kept punching black guy until someone intervened. I could be wrong because it's not really all that clear, but it looks like old guy punches black guy until black guy stops trying to fend off blows (and/or hit back) and curls into an armadillo ball. Again, just so everybody knows, I'm not saying that old guy is or isn't a racist. I'm saying that I don't believe racism was behind old guy's remark, and that I believe inferred racism was behind black guy's reaction.
"I knocked my Mother Fucking Father out." I'm laughing so hard, it took me about six minutes to type this.
Is anyone else waiting for Forest Beard-Man to start saying his hands had to be registered as lethal weapons?
