What's your percentage that the Sonics will stay in Seattle? I say 25-30%. Gotta at least give Clay Bennett a chance because he's made many moves in the past.

The % will be directly affected by the number of wins this year.

    0-30 wins = 25%
    30-40 wins = 40%
    40-50 wins = 60%
    50-60 wins = 75%
    60-82 wins = 99%

75% if the question implies that they will be moved after this season.

Too much uncertainty about New Orleans and the ways to get out of the Key Arena lease (not to mention the long term projections of a new franchise in Oklahoma City) for me to believe that the Sonics would just be uprooted after this season.

Do I think that it is a strong possibility that they will move next season? No. If they move next season I think it would be to a venue different than Oklahoma City. I don't think that Oklahoma will be as attractive of a market after the fan base diassociates itself with the lame duck franchise that is currently there. Seattle is a proven NBA market while OKC has only a one year track record of NBA success. They too would need to renevate their arena to be able to support an NBA team for years to come.

So, I do believe that a successful season will do wonders for keeping the Sonics in Seattle but I think that the Sonics fate rest more with state legislatures than it does with Ray Allen. Sold out arenas will not erase the debt that investors must pick up from the Key Arena lease.

Yeah, we're expecting 82 wins this season.
