    When I lived in Hawaii in the early 60s, they evacuated the parts of Honolulu near the beach on 2 straight Saturday nights due to tsunami fears after Japan earthquakes. No tsunamis materialized.

    It's almost ironic that MSNBC is being conservative with their earthquake rating.

    There is a wave traveling thousands of miles. Seriously, maybe you need to change the channel.

    5th largest earthquake in recorded history. If I were in Hawaii I sure as hell would move to higher ground.

    mother nature pissed at something, we had an earthquake here last month - end toll will be around 250, but that pales in comparison to this.
