Hope u didn't sign anything absolving them, not that it would hold up in court anyway, but the more ammo for you there better.

You going civil or small claims? Also add in loss of use and coercion.

Awww yeah. I'm guessing they will attempt to settle before going to trial. They may have slipped in an arbitration clause in their contract when you picked up, but maybe not, they seem like a fly by night type.

    sweep the legs.

    Good on you man.

If just 1/4 of people put up a fight once in awhile, predatory fucks like them would not be able to get away with their slimy practices.

What did you have to pay to get it out? Also, did they give you the reason for the tow?

Did they give you a reason for the tow? Was it because they said you had no tag or was it because it was illegally parked?

They couldn't tow it because it had an expired tag unless it was on a public street.

Tag, as in a parking permit tag from the apartment complex not registration DMV tags. Like Chris mentioned though it was towed due to it being parked backwards.

I've lived in a few apartment complexes, some very large and some small and I've never seen one in Portland, Corvallis, St. Louis or Seattle that required an apt. complex permit. I'm sure there are places that require them based on your testimony but they can't be common.

My apartments do. They require a sticker that proves you are a resident of the complex. The sticker is not free
