I think as Blazers fans it's important that we call for the action that we want to see. So if you want to see Olshey, Stotts and CJ gone, let the organization know. Whatever it is that you want changed, let them know. One or two of us won't get the message across. If you are a season ticket holder, throw that weight into the message. It needs to be everyone who wants it. So please make your wishes known and have your friends that aren't on this forum and are Blazers fans do the same. Leave your complaint for the team here: https://www.nba.com/blazers/contact-us
Yeah, it's just about making your voice heard by the team in the way that you want to. If you're sick of what Neil is doing call for his job and that goes for anyone of our GM, head coach or any players. Just make your demands of the team known.
New vitality needed. And I really hope she sells the team to someone not affiliated with Vulcans. A new owner/group would be good, imo. Then they can make their changes. If we don't hear something within a few weeks something could be brewing. Just my opinion could be wrong.
With the way teams appreciate I don't see why the trust would unload this investment. That being said, they also should want to honor Paul Allen by making sure this team is run competitively. The way Mr. Allen would want it done.
I think we would do a better job. Most people on this board thought signing DJJ was a bad move. That sure turned out well, didn't it?
Thats one of my concerns is that we would be nothing more than a satellite profit center for Seattle. Its time for Portland to out big boy pants on a get a local to get the team away from Vulcans and frankly Seattle.
I hope by front office you mean Vulcans because Neil gives us nothing but spin and ridiculous overvalue of the Dame/CJ back court.
We don't need a local to own the team. We need someone who is passionate about owning the team. PA wasn't a local. Cuban wasn't a local. Even Ballmer isn't a local.
Chris McGowen is the team president and is Olshey's boss. I don't deal with the Olshey side of things. I know the business side, the side that deals with fans, is hearing loud and clear that fans are not happy and want changes. McGowen has done a very good job running the organization. The team is profitable. (at least before covid, lol) That's why the Vulcans also named McGowen president of the Seahawks.
We had to renew - in March of 2020. They've already got our money for next season and have been holding it for 15 months.
I'm just a fan but I'm lucky to be able to talk to few people higher up the food chain. Not decision makers but people who work for them. There is frustration in the organization. Lillard is special and most importantly, is good for business. Blazers want to keep business good. What I don't know is Olshey's relationship with McGowen.
