Brian Westbrook had 605 yards on 116 carries, an avg of 5.2ypc, while good, not over 6 as you claim....the only people that compare Buckhalter favorably to Marshal Faulk are insane eagles fans, unless you mean they both got injured....Buck has never had more than 602 yards in a single season, while Faulk has been the leagues premier multipurpose back a few times....I hate to say it, but I dont think YOU know the Eagles....you have this skewed perception of how good each individual player is and its a bit off base....DMac is the man, but they rest of the weapons(before T.O.) are subpar, the WRs are poor, the RBs are overrated(if you have 3 Starting RBs you prolly dont have any), and you yourself dis the line.....Owens can look forward to lots of double and triple coverage becuase other than McNabb, no one on that offense makes you stay up at night game planning....
OK Dawk now you are not reading my posts. your response did not in essense disagree with anything i said. 1-i said buckhalter looked good before injury- you said he was like faulk. faulk isnt dominant? 2- westbrook avereged 6pc(actually 5) doesnt mean he wasnt inconsistent three big run can skew those numbers if you only get 116 carries. 3- i said they run block better(not that they were good) and you said some were good some were bad. if you READ WHAT I SAY and stop having a knee jerk reaction maybe you can learn something about football. it would be nice to discuss football with an eagles fan who understood it.
my fault i thought west averaged over 6, and i wasnt dissagreeing with your point on buckhalter, i was backing it up more than i was dissing it, and westbrook isnt inconsistent, id say he got his 5.2 YPC from mostly having 3.8-4.3 YPC consistently and the other yard was from his big runs, he had 1 long run a game about and hat was usually from 15-20 yards, AND AND he only had 2 games in which his YPC was under 4, the finale against the skins in which he got hurt but only had 4 carries, and the GB game were he had 5 carries for 1 yard, and the opener were he had 2 carries for 5 yards but that was before he broke out. BF1 and Beef, im not dissing either of u, and im not overating the Eagles, i watch everygame and study the team, and listen to other fans and collect my opinions, but beef how could you say that there is no other weapon on the team(prior TO) when westbrook had 14 TDs, won a game, had roughly 1800 Total Yards, and took care of the ball and on top of that made people miss him isnt a weapon? and then we get a top 10 WR and have WR that had a good year recieving 35 balls and 23 of them were for 1st downs, isnt going to get open with TO on the other side? youz will see that he aint no bust, and hes gonna be a consistent WR, hes not going to be a 100 catch guy but has the talent to have 50 REC throughout his career. and BF1 u said WC is about quick release and our WR dont get open? our version of the WC isnt that, DM uses a 5 step drop and waits for the WR to get total seperation that will all change this year with TO
your version of west coast has 5 step drop because recievers could not get open in 3 steps. I am not rooting against eagles either, but i do know a lot about the team. i may not have watched 16 games but i do enough research to know about everyone one in league(except cards their not really a team! JK)
part of the reason our WRs dont get open in 3 steps is because they suck, i have a insiders view, i have season tix so when im there i can see the whole field and i watch different things and learn, and what i see is that freddie mitchell does get open more times than not and thats why i say he is gonna have a breakout year, i also know from all 16 games that i watch is that donavon doesnt trust his wrs to make a tight catch, he waites untill there is total seperation untill he throws tthe ball, thats why he doesnt run as much, and gets sacked more and its a BIG BIG reason why he doesnt have alot of INTs, he wont force a ball
I think both Boston and TO will have a chance to succeed in their new places. Boston would not have been the right person to go to Philly. He has no experience with the West Coast offense and he does not have the Andy Reid type of work ethic. TO would not be good for Miami, they have no outspoken people on the offense, and you do not want him to be the only one, as shown by the 9ers. In Philly he will always be a second fiddle to McNabb, and he knows that. I think thats a good thing. I think if Boston and TO both play up to their potential, we could see a Miami - Philly Superbowl next year. Best of luck to both of them.
sack is better than INT, but you think with his mobility and size he could get out of pocket and throw ball away over sack. I dont know his sack numbers so i dont know if he is getting sacked to much
