Yeah the Rockets were 4th in offensive rating last year, that's kind of amazing actually.

But they were terrible defensively, 19th in the league. Defense is the most common barometer, along with superstars, for championship winning teams. Adelman seems decent.

To be fair - Nate's team lost Oden for more games than Adelman's Rockets lost Yao - and the Blazers also had to deal with a lot more injuries - starting with Roy and going down the line from there. Heck the Blazers team's consistent players in the last couple of years were LMA and Miller - which are about the same as Scola/Martin value wise from a talent stand point (LMA is a better player than Scola at his best - but he was not that consistent, and Martin is quite possibly a better player than Miller when he is healthy and at his best - but Miller is much more consistent).

It is pretty clear to me that both Nate and Adelman are very good coaches in this league.

Nate won 54 games with a healthy Roy and a bunch of young guys.

    Point?

Plus, Nate lost his Ming the next season, and never got him back, yet managed to make the playoffs.

My point is that you showing the wins of the Rockets without contextualizing with Yao renders the win totals insignificant.

Does it, though? How does making the playoffs with a hobbled Roy and no Oden rate for Nate?

I'm not talking about Nate. I'm talking about Adelman.

Facts do not matter to PapaG unless they support his point. He will ignore your "facts" so he may continue with the trolling.
