Saw this on another website: Philly:Sends Iguodala to LA and Dalembert to Hornets New Orleans:Sends Chris Paul to LA and Okafor to Philly and 1st round pick to Philly Lakers:Sends Kobe Bryant to Hornets,Artest, and 2 1st round picks(2010 and 2011) to Philly Philly Okafor Brand Artest Iverson Holiday 4 1st round picks in the next two years Hornets Dalembert West Peja Kobe Collinson Lakers Bynum Gasol Walton/Odom Iguodala CP3 I actually thought this was a decent trade. Just thought it was interesting to share.
The way I thought of it, this is a longevity trade. In a year or 2, who's gonna beat us??? Our main problem is at the PG position. We now get the best PG in basketball. Iguodala sure ain't no Kobe, but he's an up and coming star, some say he's a poor man's LeBron. We keep Pau, Bynum, and LO, so we continue to stay long. Of course, this would NEVER happen, and people who are Kobe fans before they're Laker fans would think it's crazy, but it's a good deal in my books. Still a championship team.
Since Kobe has the only no trade clause in the NBA I doubt it.....but I fear signing a 31 year old Kobe to a max deal....here is what I wrote somewhere else:
a max deal for kobe would be astronomical 1st year 24186093 with i believe 8% increases... we are talking lik 6 years 170 million lol making like 35 million a year at age 37 haha.
exactly....I dont think the Lakers need to but such a reliance on the oldest 31 year old to ever play...Way too much unneeded risk....we can use that money for good/great SG and PG
but can you imagine them NOT offering him the max? i could see him coming in with a sweetheart deal like 6/155 hahaha.
HAHAHA I just wanna say, I love your picture thing (avatar?) Read and watched CLOCKWORK ORANGE. Sooooo good.
just pray that kobe sheds some $ off that max deal and the lakers are good. as for the trade, kobe won't agree to it.
I don't think Kobe is even looking for a 6 year deal, I thought they were looking more at a 3 year max extension.
