These people really are barking up the wrong tree, because if it were to eventually turn into open warfare, "the other side" has all the guns.
Tell everyone you know about all the rain and how it gets down your neck and is cold and miserable. Do not, I repeat, do not glorify Oregon lest we get inundated with people with obscene habits such as not recycling and no respect for mother Earth. Edit: fixed spelling error.
https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/a...orities-dislike-political-correctness/572581/ They wouldn't even have any of the minority groups with them: Whites are ever so slightly less likely than average to believe that political correctness is a problem in the country: 79 percent of them share this sentiment. Instead, it is Asians (82 percent), Hispanics (87percent), and American Indians (88 percent) who are most likely to oppose political correctness. As one 40-year-old American Indian in Oklahoma said in his focus group, according to the report: It seems like everyday you wake up something has changed … Do you say Jew? Or Jewish? Is it a black guy? African-American? … You are on your toes because you never know what to say. So political correctness in that sense is scary. The one part of the standard narrative that the data partially affirm is that African Americans are most likely to support political correctness. But the difference between them and other groups is much smaller than generally supposed: Three quarters of African Americans oppose political correctness. This means that they are only four percentage points less likely than whites, and only five percentage points less likely than the average, to believe that political correctness is a problem.
Just don't insult any large peaceful group and you will be politically correct. That's not too tough to do, is it?
But that's the whole problem. Who the hell knows what is offensive anymore? That's what changes regularly. The most recent ridiculous thing is the "Don't Tread On Me" flag from the Revolutionary War is now considered racist. https://www.oregonlive.com/pacific-...f/2018/10/central_oregon_mans_dont_tread.html
My understanding is that some consider it racist because racists have been using it in recent times. See "Pepe the Frog" for an additional example. barfo
I think guns are much more pervasive than just on one side. Sure, I’m not some antifa dick but’s left doesn’t mean Im anti gun. I do lean left and I have guns. I’d say half of my left-leaning friends have guns. One friend just sold 4 so he’s down to 21 firearms, just because people are on left doesn’t mean they are anti firearm, just they might think some common sense regulations and restrictions would benefit society. I’m guessing there are a lot of antifa with AR’s and all sorts of other firearms. They do believe in fighting and violence and many think a war is coming. I’m guessing a bunch of them are stockpiling the same as any righty might.
The racists should start using a picture of Ellen DeGeneres as their new symbol. I worry that the lefties will hunt her down if they do.
You are guessing wrong, somewhat. Sure, the right is more like that but I know a lot of people on the left who own guns. They just typically don’t make it a central feature to their personality. I went to the range a couple years back with a group of 5 other dues. All left of center. All owned at least 3 firearms and one guy (with dreadlocks) had been a competitive shooter.
I have left of center friends too, Im right of center I guess. If the left gets anymore extreme and talk about second amendment changes or Sanders or Blumenthal run for president, than my blue buds will vote another way.
What about their right-of-center friend? Is there any extremity that the right could go to to have him vote another way? barfo
