Every Police Chief in the country takes the Oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States. Every person in the Military also takes this Oath. Anyone actually think all these people are going to go against that Oath and the logic of it to support a want a be dictator in a take over against the will of the majority of people in this country? Last I heard, California was part of the USA. If you want to lobby for abolishing the electoral college and electing by popular vote, I won't object. Then everyone's vote will count the same and no one should be discouraged from voting. But if you do that you still don't get to throw out California. barfo

I don't think the Electoral College worked as designed at all. No way the framers intended that someone who receives less votes should win the election. It's more like a glitch in the system that hasn't been corrected. People are fallible, documents are fallible, and the Constitution has a flaw in it. Not the first one. Counting slaves as 3/5 of a person was one too. This one just hasn't been corrected yet.
