I guess I was the old timer. I waited until I was 19 to join the Army. Of course, Uncle Sam sent me an invitation first.
Not sure of what point you are trying to make. Are you intimating the genocide propagated by those leaders was in some way justified?
Oh! Big time difference Lanny. We have a much more solid foundation for the rule of law. And of course the right to protect our rights and liberty with the force of arms when necessary. It would be very challenging to over come this foundation and take control from the people so armed. Why I expect even you to join me in resisting any such fool that might have the rashness to attempt a Stalin like take over.
Every Police Chief in the country takes the Oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States. Every person in the Military also takes this Oath. Anyone actually think all these people are going to go against that Oath and the logic of it to support a want a be dictator in a take over against the will of the majority of people in this country? No, I think not. That march on Washington would be his be all and his end all right there on the banks of the Potomac.
Duly elected? Certainly. "want a be dictator in a take over against the will of the majority of people in this country?" Also true. barfo
No barf, I can not concede that point. I am here where people did not vote because their vote is overwhelmed. Where there are so many non residents with all the document they need. But for California, Trump won rather impressively. So let us play another game.
Last I heard, California was part of the USA. If you want to lobby for abolishing the electoral college and electing by popular vote, I won't object. Then everyone's vote will count the same and no one should be discouraged from voting. But if you do that you still don't get to throw out California. barfo
Of course not! It worked as designed. But make no error the entire majority was in California and that was skewed to the extreme. But It really won't matter, the pockets of blue are really few and you all flock together in those havens. A virtual wall fixes this shit in a few years.
Oh really! I have been to Topeka, worked there. Paid well too but not where I like to be. So where is the right side of this wall you have in mind? bub? What happen to my friend barf?
I don't think the Electoral College worked as designed at all. No way the framers intended that someone who receives less votes should win the election. It's more like a glitch in the system that hasn't been corrected. People are fallible, documents are fallible, and the Constitution has a flaw in it. Not the first one. Counting slaves as 3/5 of a person was one too. This one just hasn't been corrected yet.
