After watching Westbrook and his HORRID play in the 4th quarter, I have to say I had the very same thought. "There doesn't seem to be any way that Westbrook can be on the same team as Durant. Unless he is "broken", he thinks he is Kobe Bryant, and I don't see this playing out very well."
Horrible idea. Westbrook is just 22! Give him time to learn the game. This is his second playoffs. He'll still be a superstar in this league when I'm 50. Chris Paul had a couple good playoff games but he still has injury issues that may never be resolved.
Westbrook is and always will be a scoring PG. He isn't going to get Harden/Durant involved in the clutch unless he dribbles away 15s and realizes he can't find a way to shoot. I don't see a happy coexistence between Durant/RW in the future because RW thinks its his team and he likes being the one to make the big play so he is going to do it way to often. We saw it often this year and some last year, he wants all the attention and thats not going to change. Curry/Williams/CP3 are all players who are better shooters and can attack the basket effectively and would all get more teammates involved in clutch situations then westbrook. Even when they drafted Westbrook I thought he was a SG and would act like it if given the PG role which he does. I hope he proves me wrong because the kid has talent to be a top 3 PG in the league.
